Is this really only £1?
Yes. You pay £1 today to reserve your booking and lock today’s hotel price. The remaining balance is split into up to 16 equal, interest-free weekly instalments, all paid before check-in.
What currency do I pay in?
GBP (pounds). Your £1 today and every weekly payment are taken in pounds, so there are no surprise foreign-exchange fees on your card — you always know exactly what leaves your account.
Is there any interest or hidden fee?
No. You pay the hotel price and nothing more — no interest, no account fees, no mark-up for paying weekly.
Is there a credit check?
No. This is a lay-by style plan — you pay for your stay before you travel, so there is no borrowing and no credit check.
Which hotels and dates qualify?
Stays checking in between 1 December 2026 and 28 February 2027, at hotels with eligible free-cancellation rates. Non-refundable rooms are never offered on a weekly plan — that is what keeps the plan safe to cancel.
How many weekly payments will I get?
Up to 16, depending on how far away your check-in date is — the plan always finishes before you travel. Your exact schedule is shown at checkout before you pay anything.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel within the hotel’s free-cancellation window and everything you’ve paid is returned in full to your Event Escapes Wallet — it never expires and is ready for your next booking. Prefer cash? You can withdraw to your card instead (a small card-processing fee applies to withdrawals only).
Found the same room cheaper on Booking.com or Expedia?
No worries — we’ll price match it, and you still get to pay weekly. Email a screenshot of the cheaper price to pricematch@eventescapes.com before you book, showing the same hotel, same room type, same dates and same number of guests on a refundable, publicly-bookable rate. Once we verify it, we send you a code that brings your price down and still works with Pay Weekly. One match per booking.
What if I miss a weekly payment?
You’ll get reminders and a grace period to catch up — missing one payment doesn’t cancel anything. If the plan can’t continue, we cancel the room while it’s still freely cancellable and everything you’ve paid goes to your Wallet.
When does the promotion launch?
Waitlist members receive priority access before the public launch. Launch places are limited — the earlier you’re on the list, the earlier you can book.
