Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

Operated by Zeroopay Technologies Pty Ltd · ABN: 78 688 499 489

Published at: www.eventescapes.com/terms

Important Notice: Event Escapes is an online travel agency. We facilitate bookings with third-party travel suppliers. We do not directly provide most travel services such as hotel accommodation, event tickets, experiences, or flights. Your booking creates a contract with the relevant supplier (or with Event Escapes where we act as merchant of record), subject to the applicable terms. You should read the applicable cancellation and refund terms carefully before completing your booking.

1. About Us

Event Escapes is a trading name of Zeroopay Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 78 688 499 489), a company registered in Victoria, Australia. Our registered address is 470 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004, Australia.

Event Escapes operates an online travel agency (OTA) platform at www.eventescapes.com, providing event-driven travel packages including hotel accommodation, event tickets, experiences and activities, and flight search services.

Contact: support@eventescapes.com

2. Our Role

2.1 Australian Customers (Agency Model)

For customers with an Australian billing address, Event Escapes acts as a booking agent. When you make a booking through our platform, you enter into a contract directly with the relevant travel supplier (hotel, event organiser, or experience provider). Event Escapes facilitates the booking on your behalf and charges a separate service fee for this facilitation. GST applies to the service fee component only, not the supplier cost.

2.2 International Customers Booking Australian Services

International customers booking Australian-based events, hotels, or experiences are also charged a service fee with applicable GST, as the underlying service is provided in Australia.

2.3 International Bookings (Merchant Model)

For bookings of services located outside Australia (regardless of customer location), Event Escapes acts as the merchant of record. You enter into a contract with Event Escapes for the full booking amount. No separate service fee is charged — our margin is included in the displayed price. However, the underlying services are provided by third-party suppliers, and their terms and conditions apply to the delivery of those services.

2.4 Flights (Affiliate Model)

Flight search and booking is provided through our affiliate partner. Event Escapes does not sell, issue, or manage flight tickets directly. When you book a flight through our platform, you are redirected to or transacting with the relevant airline or flight booking provider. Event Escapes receives a commission for the referral. We are not a party to your flight booking contract and bear no liability for flight cancellations, delays, or changes.

2.5 Supplier Relationships

Our travel services are sourced from the following supplier categories:

  • Hotels: Sourced from our global distribution network of 1.7 million+ properties
  • Event Tickets: Sourced from authorised ticket suppliers and organisers
  • Experiences & Activities: Sourced from verified local operators via our activity distribution partners
  • Flights: Provided via affiliate partnerships (Event Escapes is not the ticket issuer)

2.6 Financial Arrangements

We receive remuneration through commissions, fees, margins, or other financial arrangements from third-party travel suppliers for facilitating bookings on your behalf. We are entitled to retain any such remuneration and are not required to disclose the specific nature or value of these arrangements.

2.7 Supplier Terms

All bookings are made subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the relevant travel supplier, including cancellation policies, conditions of carriage, and limitations of liability. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and the supplier’s terms relating to the provision of the travel services, the supplier’s terms will prevail. You are responsible for obtaining and reading all applicable supplier terms.

3. Eligibility and Account

You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use our services. By creating an account or making a booking, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You may make bookings as a guest without creating an account. Guest bookings do not earn Travel Pass loyalty points.

Bookings on behalf of others: If you make a booking on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have obtained their authority to make the booking and to bind them to these Terms of Service and all applicable supplier terms. We will rely on your authority to act on behalf of any other traveller included in the booking.

4. Bookings and Pricing

4.1 Pricing

All prices displayed on our platform are in the currency selected by the user and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Hotel prices include room rate and applicable taxes. Some hotels may charge additional local fees (resort fees, city tax, tourism levy) payable directly at the property — these are disclosed where applicable and are not charged by Event Escapes.

Prices are dynamic and based on real-time availability from our suppliers. Prices may change between the time you search and the time you complete checkout. Once payment is processed, your rate is locked.

4.2 Booking Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and final confirmation by the supplier. A booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email from Event Escapes with a booking reference number. The confirmation email constitutes your receipt and contains all relevant booking details, cancellation policies, and contact information. Until you receive confirmation, no binding contract exists in respect of the travel services.

4.3 Package Bookings

Curated holiday packages bundle multiple travel components (hotel, event tickets, and optional experiences) into a single booking. Packages are available for 1–2 guests (Solo or Couple). Groups of 3 or more may book individual components separately using our cart system.

Each component of a package is subject to its own cancellation and modification terms as specified at the time of booking. Cancellation of one component does not automatically cancel other components.

4.4 Errors, Omissions and Information Accuracy

We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings made at an obviously incorrect price due to a system, supplier, or pricing error. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as practicable and offer you the option to rebook at the correct price or receive a full refund of any amount paid.

We rely on information provided by our suppliers and publish all content in good faith. We do not independently verify or guarantee the accuracy of all descriptions, images, star ratings, or other content provided by suppliers. Hotel ratings displayed on our platform are for information purposes only and may differ from ratings found on other platforms.

4.5 What’s Not Included

Unless expressly stated in your booking confirmation, the following are not included in your booking price and are your responsibility:

  • Flights (unless booked separately through our flight search)
  • Visas, passports, and travel documentation
  • Travel insurance
  • Airport transfers and local transport
  • Meals, minibar, and incidental charges at hotels
  • Resort fees, city taxes, or tourism levies payable locally
  • Personal expenses, gratuities, and tips
  • Any additional services not specified in the booking confirmation

5. Payment

5.1 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept major credit and debit cards, digital wallets, and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. All payments are processed securely through our PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We do not store your full card details on our servers. Available payment methods may vary by region and booking type.

We do not charge credit card surcharges. Your bank or card issuer may charge its own fees for international transactions or currency conversion, which are determined by your financial institution and are not within our control.

5.2 Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL)

Buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) options are available on eligible bookings. BNPL services are provided by third-party providers and are subject to their own terms, conditions, and eligibility criteria. Event Escapes is not responsible for decisions made by BNPL providers regarding your application or credit assessment. Late fees or other charges imposed by your BNPL provider are between you and that provider. BNPL availability may vary by region and booking type.

5.3 Currency

Prices are displayed in your selected currency. Currency conversion is performed using current exchange rates updated regularly. The final charge to your payment method may differ slightly due to your bank’s exchange rate or processing fees, which are determined by your financial institution. You bear the risk of any currency fluctuations between the date of your booking and the date of any subsequent payment or refund.

5.4 Service Fees

For bookings where a service fee applies (Australian customers, and international customers booking Australian-based services), the booking price comprises the supplier cost plus an Event Escapes service fee. The service fee is disclosed at checkout. GST of 10% applies to the service fee component.

For international bookings of services outside Australia, no separate service fee is charged — our margin is included in the total price.

Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, service fees are non-refundable in all circumstances.

5.5 Monies Not Held on Trust

You agree and acknowledge that all monies paid by you to Event Escapes will not be held on trust for you. Payments received are passed to the relevant supplier in accordance with our commercial arrangements. Where we are holding funds pending supplier confirmation, such funds remain the property of Event Escapes. In the event you are entitled to a refund, we can only process your refund once we receive the funds from the relevant supplier or are authorised by the supplier to do so.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms vary by booking type and are displayed clearly before you confirm your booking. By completing a booking, you acknowledge and accept the applicable cancellation terms as displayed during the booking process and summarised below.

6.1 Hotels

Hotel cancellation terms are set by each property and are displayed during the booking process. Cancellation windows vary by property and rate type. Non-refundable rates are clearly marked. Refunds for hotel cancellations are subject to the hotel supplier’s policy. Where the supplier confirms a refund, we will pass it through to your original payment method.

6.2 Event Tickets

Event tickets are non-refundable once confirmed and paid for. Tickets are sourced from third-party organisers and suppliers who do not permit returns or exchanges. Event Escapes acts as a facilitator and does not control the refund policies of event organisers or ticket suppliers.

In the event of a cancellation or postponement by the organiser, any refund is subject to the organiser’s and supplier’s policies. If the supplier provides a refund to Event Escapes, we will pass that refund through to you. We cannot guarantee refunds for cancelled or postponed events as this is entirely at the discretion of the event organiser and ticket supplier.

6.3 Experiences

Experience cancellation terms vary by activity and provider. The specific cancellation window and applicable terms are displayed on the experience details page before booking. Refunds are subject to the activity provider’s policy and confirmation.

6.4 Packages

Each component of a package follows its individual cancellation terms. Cancellation of the entire package requires assessment of each component. If you cancel or vary any element of a package, you may lose the benefit of the package pricing. Contact support@eventescapes.com for package cancellation requests.

6.5 Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. Credit card refunds may take an additional 3–5 business days to appear on your statement. BNPL refunds follow the respective refund processes of your BNPL provider. Where a refund is due to you from a supplier, Event Escapes will provide reasonable assistance in claiming any refund from that supplier, but we can only refund you once we are authorised by the supplier to do so and to the extent we actually receive the relevant funds.

7. Event Ticket — Additional Terms

The following additional terms apply specifically to event ticket bookings. These terms reflect the conditions imposed by our ticket suppliers and are binding on all event ticket purchases.

7.1 Pricing

Event ticket prices on our platform are set by our ticket suppliers and may be higher than the original face value printed on the ticket. Event Escapes operates within the secondary ticket market in which pricing is determined by supply and demand. By purchasing event tickets through our platform, you acknowledge and agree that the ticket price may exceed face value.

7.2 Order Confirmation

After placing an event ticket order, your order is transferred to our ticket supplier for confirmation. You will receive a confirmation email within 1 business day. Once confirmed, event ticket orders cannot be altered or cancelled except with our prior written approval. Until you receive a confirmation email, no binding contract exists for the tickets.

7.3 Ticket Delivery Guarantee

We guarantee delivery of valid tickets for your confirmed event in time for entry. If we fail to deliver valid tickets for a confirmed order, and that failure is not caused by your acts or omissions (including those described in clauses (b) to (e) below) or by event cancellation, postponement or capacity restrictions (which are governed by clause 7.5), you will receive a refund of 100% of the price paid for the affected tickets. This refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for non-delivery and is subject to the conditions set out below.

(a) You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details (including hotel name, address, and guest name) as required by the delivery method. You must provide or update your delivery details no later than one week prior to the event date.

(b) We shall not be liable for tickets that are not delivered due to incorrect details provided by you, failure to provide hotel details within the required timeframe, or failure to collect or accept delivered tickets. In such cases, you will be fully charged for your order.

(c) For hotel delivery: tickets are delivered to hotels in the city of the event only. The hotel reservation must be under the guest name provided. You must notify the hotel reception in advance that you are expecting an envelope. We are not responsible for failed delivery due to the hotel’s refusal to accept the envelope or failure to hand it to you.

(d) For late arrivals on event day: you must verify by 9:00 AM on the event day that tickets have been delivered to your hotel. If there is a problem with delivery, you must contact us immediately and no later than 12:00 noon. We shall not be responsible for non-verified tickets if you did not follow these guidelines.

(e) We reserve the right to change the ticket delivery method (for example, from hotel delivery to collection point) if required by the event organiser or supplier. We will inform you of any change in a timely manner and shall not be liable for any inconvenience caused by such changes.

7.4 Event Dates — “Not Final”

Some events, particularly televised football matches, may have dates and times that are not finalised at the time of booking. Where an event is marked as “Date Not Final” on our platform, the event date may change within the specified window. You should plan your travel accordingly and we recommend booking flexible hotel rates and purchasing travel insurance. Your tickets remain valid for whichever date is confirmed by the organiser.

7.5 Event Cancellation and Postponement

(a) If an event is cancelled by the organiser, any refund is subject to the organiser’s and supplier’s policies. If the supplier provides a refund to Event Escapes, we will pass that refund through to you. We cannot guarantee refunds for cancelled events.

(b) If an event is postponed to a new date, your tickets will generally be valid for the rescheduled date. In such cases, we will not be able to cancel your order. If you cannot attend the rescheduled event, we can request a refund from our supplier or attempt to resell your tickets on your behalf, but we cannot guarantee a refund. If resale is successful, you may receive up to 80% of the ticket value.

(c) If an event is held without fans or with reduced capacity, we reserve the right to cancel the order and process a refund.

7.6 Seating

(a) We are obligated to seat customers in pairs unless the tickets are specifically listed as single seats. In some venues, seating in pairs may include diagonal or perpendicular adjoined seats.

(b) In the rare event that you are provided with tickets that are not adjacent as confirmed, you will be reimbursed for the separate seat with an amount of 3%–15% of the ticket price paid, based on the actual distance between the seats.

(c) In the rare event that you are provided with tickets in a lower category than confirmed, you will be reimbursed for the difference based on the prices published on our platform at the time of purchase. If an upgraded ticket is provided at no additional cost, no additional charge will apply.

7.7 Admission and Conduct

(a) You are solely responsible for abiding by the rules, regulations, policies, and code of conduct established by the venue, local authorities, and event organisers. We shall not be liable if you are denied entry or expelled from the event due to non-compliance with these rules.

(b) We may send you important guidelines regarding conduct at specific events by email. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in denied admission, for which we accept no liability.

(c) For events with neutral venue designations (such as Champions League Final, Europa League Final, FA Cup Final, League Cup Final, or World Cup events), unless specified otherwise, seats may be located in either team’s section. You are advised to wear neutral-coloured clothing if not supporting the home team.

7.8 Lost, Stolen or Damaged Tickets

We shall not be responsible for providing replacement tickets in the event of lost, stolen, or damaged tickets, except where the loss or damage is directly attributable to our negligence.

7.9 Season Tickets and Member Cards

If you are provided with a season ticket or member card (plastic card), you are obligated to return the card in accordance with the instructions provided. Failure to return the card may result in charges for the cost of issuing a replacement and any damages caused as a result.

7.10 Reporting Problems

If you encounter any problems with your tickets (such as late delivery, incorrect category, or issues entering the venue), you must contact us promptly at support@eventescapes.com or by calling (03) 4327 9904. We invest significant effort in resolving unexpected issues, and our ability to assist depends on timely reporting. We shall not be liable for any problem that was not reported promptly.

8. Travel Documentation and Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that you hold valid travel documentation, including passports, visas, health certificates, and any other entry requirements for your destination and any transit countries. Event Escapes is not liable for any costs, losses, or denied entry arising from inadequate or invalid travel documentation.

You must ensure that you are aware of any health requirements and recommended precautions relevant to your travel. We recommend that you check the Australian Government’s Smartraveller website (www.smartraveller.gov.au) for current travel advisories.

9. Travel Insurance

Event Escapes does not provide travel insurance. We strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and travel disruptions. Travel insurance is your responsibility and should be arranged prior to travel.

10. Travel Pass Loyalty Programme

Travel Pass is our loyalty programme available to registered account holders. Members earn 1 point per AUD spent (or equivalent in their local currency) on eligible bookings made while signed in. Points may be redeemed for vouchers applicable to future bookings. Points expire 36 months from the date earned. Points and vouchers are non-transferable and have no cash value. Event Escapes reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Travel Pass programme at any time with reasonable notice.

11. Share Rewards Programme

11.1 Overview

The Share Rewards Programme allows registered account holders to earn promotional codes by sharing events and travel packages with friends and family via our platform’s share feature. The programme is available to all registered users worldwide.

11.2 How It Works

Users earn promotional codes by sharing events, hotels, experiences, or travel packages using the share feature on our platform. Each share action (via WhatsApp, Messenger, email, or link copy) counts as one qualifying share. After completing 3 qualifying shares within a reward tier, a single-use promotional code is automatically generated and delivered to the user’s registered email address.

11.3 Reward Tiers

The programme currently offers two reward tiers:

(a) Standard Tier:Share any 3 events, hotels, or experiences to receive a promotional code. The code value and minimum spend requirement are displayed in the user’s local currency at the time of earning.

(b) Package Tier:Share any 3 travel packages to receive a promotional code. The code value and minimum spend requirement are displayed in the user’s local currency at the time of earning.

Reward values, minimum spend thresholds, and tier configurations are set by Event Escapes and may be adjusted at any time without prior notice.

11.4 Eligibility

(a) Users must be signed in to a registered Event Escapes account for shares to count toward reward progress.

(b) Shares made while not signed in are not tracked and do not count toward reward tiers.

(c) Each user may earn a maximum of one promotional code per tier.

(d) Share actions are counted based on the use of the share feature on our platform. Event Escapes does not track or verify whether shared content is received or viewed by third parties.

11.5 Promotional Code Terms

(a) Promotional codes are single-use and may only be applied to one booking.

(b) Codes are valid for 180 days (approximately 6 months) from the date of issue.

(c) Codes are subject to a minimum spend requirement, which is displayed at the time of earning and on the user’s account page.

(d) Codes are non-transferable and are linked to the account that earned them.

(e) Codes cannot be exchanged for cash, combined with other promotional codes, or applied retroactively to existing bookings.

(f) Code values are converted to the user’s selected currency at the exchange rate applicable at the time of earning. Exchange rate fluctuations after issuance do not affect the code value.

11.6 Programme Modifications

Event Escapes reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Share Rewards Programme at any time, with or without notice. Any promotional codes earned prior to programme changes will remain valid until their expiry date. Event Escapes reserves the right to void promotional codes obtained through fraud, manipulation, or abuse of the programme, including but not limited to the use of automated tools, fake accounts, or other deceptive practices.

11.7 Limitation

The Share Rewards Programme is a promotional offering and does not constitute a contractual entitlement. Event Escapes makes no guarantee regarding the continued availability of the programme or specific reward values.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Supplier Services

Our booking and facilitation services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, as set out in Section 12.4. Nothing in this Section 12 limits those rights.

Event Escapes acts as a facilitator and intermediary between you and the travel suppliers. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, defaults, or failures of any travel supplier, including but not limited to hotels, event organisers, experience providers, airlines, or their agents. We do not control and cannot guarantee the performance, quality, or availability of any supplier’s services.

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to Section 12.4, our liability in connection with any booking is limited to the service fee (where applicable) or the margin charged by Event Escapes for that booking, and we exclude any liability for indirect or consequential loss or damage arising from or in connection with your booking. We will use reasonable efforts to assist you in resolving disputes with suppliers, but we cannot compel any supplier to issue refunds, make changes, or provide compensation.

12.2 Supplier Insolvency

In the event that a travel supplier becomes insolvent or is otherwise unable to provide the services for which you have contracted, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, Event Escapes has no obligation to reimburse you for the cost of your booking, or for any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of any such insolvency. Your remedies in such circumstances are against the supplier.

12.3 Force Majeure

Event Escapes is not liable for any failure or delay in performance to the extent caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, government actions, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, adverse weather conditions, transport disruptions, border closures, or similar events. In such circumstances, our obligations are suspended for the duration of the force majeure event, and your primary remedies in relation to affected travel services are against the relevant supplier, subject always to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

12.4 Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

Our booking and facilitation services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that they will be provided with due care and skill, they will be reasonably fit for the specified purpose, and they will be provided within a reasonable time. If we fail to meet any of these guarantees, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for breach of any consumer guarantee is limited to (at our election): (a) re-supplying the services; or (b) paying the cost of having the services re-supplied.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the Event Escapes platform, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Zeroopay Technologies Pty Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to access and use the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes related to browsing and making bookings.

14. Fair Use and User Conduct

You agree to use our platform in a fair and lawful way and not to make speculative, false, or fraudulent bookings, or bookings in anticipation of demand. You must not use any automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the platform without our express written consent. We reserve the right to cancel bookings that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, and to suspend or terminate accounts involved in such activity.

We reserve the right to recover any costs, losses, or fees that we reasonably incur as a direct result of fraudulent transactions or clearly unfounded chargebacks or payment disputes (for example, where services have been provided in accordance with these Terms and applicable supplier terms). If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend your account and any pending bookings while the dispute is investigated. This does not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Disputes and Complaints

Where appropriate, you should first attempt to resolve any issue directly with the relevant travel supplier at the time of the service. If the services provided by a supplier fall below your expectations, it is your responsibility to raise this with the supplier during your stay or at the time of the experience, as this may affect our ability to seek a resolution on your behalf afterwards.

If you have a complaint about a booking or our services, please contact support@eventescapes.com. We will endeavour to acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and resolve it within 14 business days.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may seek external resolution through your state or territory consumer affairs body or through the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) at www.accc.gov.au.

16. Privacy

Your use of our platform is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. Your personal information may be disclosed to overseas travel suppliers in the countries in which your travel services are provided.

17. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be notified via email to registered account holders. The applicable terms that apply to your booking are those in effect at the time you make the booking.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. You irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and courts of appeal from them for any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms. This liability section is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
