Ford Field seats about 65,000 for football across a lower 100 level, a club 200 level and an upper 300 level, with the field sunk 45 feet below street level. The best sideline seats sit in the lower 100 level near the 50, specifically around sections 105 to 107 on one sideline and 126 to 128 on the other. As a climate-controlled indoor dome, weather is never a factor, comfortable in Michigan's cold winters, and its skylights keep the interior bright. Atmosphere is loud under the fixed roof, and it has hosted a Super Bowl, an NCAA Final Four, WrestleMania and major concerts.

There are no dedicated stadium surface lots; the connected Ford Field parking deck plus dozens of downtown garages serve fans. Two rail systems help: the elevated Detroit People Mover, with a station a block away, and the QLine streetcar along Woodward Avenue, both running extended game-day service, plus SMART and DDOT buses.
