How does Pay Weekly work?
You lock in today’s hotel price, then pay it off in up to 16 equal, interest-free weekly instalments, all paid before check-in. There is no deposit and no big bill up front.
What currency do I pay in?
We bill your weekly payments in your own local currency where we support it, currently Australian Dollars, British Pounds, Euros, UAE Dirhams, US Dollars and New Zealand Dollars. Everywhere else, payments are taken in US Dollars. Either way, there are no surprise foreign exchange fees from us and you always know exactly what leaves your account.
Is there any interest or hidden fee?
No. You pay the hotel price and nothing more: no interest, no account fees, no late fees and no mark-up for paying weekly.
Is there a credit check?
No. This is a lay-by style plan. You pay for your stay before you travel, so there is no borrowing and no credit check.
Which hotels qualify?
Hotels with eligible free-cancellation rates. Non-refundable rooms are never offered on a weekly plan, and that is what keeps the plan safe to cancel.
How many weekly payments will I get?
Up to 16, depending on how far away your check-in date is. The plan always finishes before you travel, and your exact schedule is shown at checkout before you pay anything.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel within the hotel’s free-cancellation window and everything you’ve paid is returned in full to your Event Escapes Wallet. It never expires and is ready for your next booking. Prefer cash? You can withdraw to your card instead (a small card-processing fee applies to withdrawals only).
Found the same room cheaper on Booking.com or Expedia?
No worries. We’ll price match it, and you still get to pay weekly. Email a screenshot of the cheaper price to pricematch@eventescapes.com before you book, showing the same hotel, same room type, same dates and same number of guests on a refundable, publicly-bookable rate. Once we verify it, we send you a code that brings your price down and still works with Pay Weekly. One match per booking.
What if I miss a weekly payment?
There are no late fees, ever. If a payment doesn’t go through, we simply retry your card over the next few days and send you friendly reminders, so missing one payment doesn’t cancel anything. If the plan can’t continue, we cancel the room while it’s still freely cancellable and everything you’ve paid goes to your Wallet. Need a hand any time? Email support@eventescapes.com.
