How do you get to AHR Expo?
From O'Hare International (ORD)
- O'Hare is Chicago's main airport, with direct flights from most US cities and many international hubs
- The CTA Blue Line runs from O'Hare into the Loop; from there, change for the Green Line to Cermak-McCormick Place or take a short taxi to the South Loop
- Taxis and rideshare to the South Loop can take an hour or more in weekday traffic, so allow plenty of time on arrival day
- Winter storms can delay flights in late January; a flexible or free-cancellation room is worth considering
From Midway (MDW) and by rail
- Midway is Chicago's second airport, closer to the South Loop than O'Hare and served mainly by domestic and short-haul flights
- The CTA Orange Line links Midway with the Loop
- Amtrak trains arrive at Chicago Union Station on the western edge of the Loop, a short taxi ride from McCormick Place

- The L is the quickest way between the Loop, River North and the South Loop for evening plans
- Rideshare demand spikes at show close around 18:00 on Monday and Tuesday and 16:00 on Wednesday; shuttles or the train are often quicker
Do you need a visa for AHR Expo?

- Citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries, including the UK, most of the EU, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, can usually attend a trade show for up to 90 days with an approved ESTA rather than a visa
