Getting there
From SZX (Shenzhen Bao'an)
- The airport is close: a taxi to Shenzhen World takes about 15-20 minutes and costs roughly CNY 40-60
- By metro, ride Line 11 one stop from Airport to Airport North, then Line 20 to Shenzhen World or Shenzhen World North station — around 25-30 minutes door to door for a few yuan
- Line 20 station exits C1 and C2 lead directly to the venue's south and north entrances respectively
- SZX has wide domestic coverage and growing international routes, but many intercontinental itineraries still connect via Hong Kong, Guangzhou or Beijing
Via Hong Kong
- Flying into HKG and crossing the border is a standard Chinaplas route: high-speed rail from West Kowloon reaches Futian station in about 15 minutes, then Metro Line 11 runs to Airport North for the Line 20 transfer — around 90 minutes overall
- Cross-border coaches and cars run from HKG airport to Shenzhen Bay port, which is closer to Nanshan hotels
- Remember Hong Kong and mainland China have separate immigration regimes — your mainland visa or visa-free entitlement is checked at the border, not in Hong Kong
- Allow generous time for the crossing on the show's opening morning; queues at peak are real

Getting to Shenzhen World daily
- Metro Line 20 (connecting from Line 11 at Airport North and Line 12) serves both ends of the venue — use Shenzhen World station for the south halls and Shenzhen World North for the north halls to avoid a very long indoor walk
- The building is colossal — nearly 20 halls in a row — so plan meetings by hall cluster and allow 20-30 minutes to cross the site
- Didi ride-hail works with international cards, but pickup points at closing time are congested; the metro is usually faster between 17:00 and 19:00
- Hotels attached to the venue let you walk in before the metro crowds arrive — the single biggest quality-of-life upgrade at this show
Around Shenzhen
- Shenzhen Metro is cheap and extensive; pay with the Shenzhen Tong card or QR codes via Alipay/WeChat Pay, both of which accept foreign cards
- Set up Alipay or WeChat Pay before arrival — cash is rarely used and many taxis prefer digital payment
- April is warm and humid with frequent showers; the venue-to-metro walks are covered but pack accordingly
- The venue is 30-45 minutes from Nanshan and about an hour from Futian by metro — factor commutes into meeting schedules, and expect Google services to need roaming or a pre-configured VPN

- China's unilateral 30-day visa-free entry covers ordinary passport holders from about 50 countries — most of the EU, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea — and includes business visits; it is currently confirmed through 31 December 2026, so check whether it has been extended to cover April 2027 before relying on it
- The 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit is available to around 55 nationalities including US citizens when travelling between two different third countries — Hong Kong counts as a distinct territory for this purpose
- GCC nationals from several states also enjoy visa-free entry under separate arrangements
