14 Nov – 20 Nov 2027 Hannover Exhibition Grounds (Deutsche Messe) 476,000 attendees
Agritechnica 2027 runs 14-20 November at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds, the largest fairground on earth, and it is the definitive world event for agricultural machinery. Held every two years and organised by the DLG (German Agricultural Society), it brings roughly 470,000 farmers, contractors, dealers and engineers from well over 100 countries to see tractors, harvesters, precision-farming systems and components from around 2,800 exhibitors. The crowd is unusually international and unusually rural: entire farming cooperatives travel together, and machinery buyers plan their capital spending around what launches here. Hanover is a mid-sized city, so this volume of visitors overwhelms its hotel stock completely; rooms in Laatzen next to the fairground, the city centre and every town within 45 minutes by train are contested. This page shows live, bookable rates ranked by practical access to the Messe, so you can see what genuinely remains for Agritechnica week and secure it before the usual sell-out.

Laatzen is the closest area, right next to the fairground's western entrance. Hannover Mitte around the Hauptbahnhof gives you the best evening options with a direct tram or S-Bahn ride of 20-30 minutes. Once those fill, rail-connected towns such as Hildesheim, Braunschweig and Celle are the standard fallback.
Hanover's hotel stock is modest for an event of nearly half a million visitors, so fair-week rates typically run well above double normal levels, and closest properties rise the most. Prices in surrounding towns increase too, but less steeply.
Six to twelve months ahead is realistic for a room in Hanover or Laatzen; regulars book as soon as the next edition's dates are announced. Free-cancellation rates make an early booking low-risk.
Hannover Airport (HAJ) is the local option, 17 minutes from the Hauptbahnhof by S-Bahn, but it mainly serves European routes. Long-haul visitors usually connect through Frankfurt, Amsterdam or Munich, or fly to Frankfurt and take a direct ICE train of around 2.5 hours.
Agritechnica is a trade exhibition but tickets are available to anyone with an interest in agricultural machinery, and many working farmers attend as visitors rather than trade buyers. Some preview days at the start of the week are aimed at exclusive and professional audiences, so check ticket types when booking.
