Getting there
From Hannover Airport (HAJ)
- The S-Bahn S5 runs from the terminal directly to Hannover Hauptbahnhof in about 17-18 minutes, several times an hour
- From Hauptbahnhof, connect by Stadtbahn tram or S-Bahn to the fairground (20-30 minutes more); the whole journey is on one GVH ticket
- A taxi from HAJ to the Messe takes roughly 25-35 minutes depending on traffic, with fares typically in the EUR 40-55 range
- HAJ is a smaller airport with mostly European connections; many long-haul visitors route via Frankfurt or Amsterdam and finish by train
