Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2027 runs from Tuesday 2 to Friday 5 February at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, the exhibition centre on the Gran Via in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, just south-west of central Barcelona. The 2026 edition drew more than 92,000 unique attendees from the pro AV and systems integration world, and for 2027 the show also reaches into Fira Montjuïc, where the co-located EdTech Congress and Spark show floors open to ISE badge holders on 3 and 4 February. That spread matters when choosing ISE Barcelona hotels: the properties along the Gran Via next to the halls fill first, while Plaça d'Espanya puts you between both sites and the metro and free show shuttle. Eixample and Sants are good alternatives for ISE Barcelona accommodation with a quick metro or taxi ride. This page shows live hotel rates near the venue for your dates, so you can compare a walk to the halls with a short commute from the city.

How do you get to ISE (Integrated Systems Europe)?

From Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN)

  • Metro line L9 Sud runs from both airport terminals straight to the Fira and Europa | Fira stations beside the Gran Via halls; the organiser puts the ride at roughly 15-20 minutes
  • A taxi to the venue takes about 15 minutes in normal traffic, longer at the start and end of show days
  • If you are staying in the city centre, the Aerobús to Plaça d'Espanya and Plaça de Catalunya is the simplest option with luggage
  • Girona (GRO) and Reus (REU) airports have some low-cost routes but are well over an hour from the venue, so only worth it on a significant fare saving

Arriving by train

  • High-speed AVE and other long-distance trains arrive at Barcelona-Sants, about 4 km from the venue
  • From Sants, take the metro to Plaça d'Espanya and then the FGC or a show shuttle, or take a taxi of around 10-15 minutes
  • Sants is itself a practical hotel base for ISE, with direct links to both the Gran Via and Montjuïc sites
  • Rail travellers from France can reach Barcelona on direct high-speed services; book early for show week

How do you get around during ISE (Integrated Systems Europe)?

Getting to the ISE halls each day

  • Metro L9 Sud (Fira and Europa | Fira stations) serves the South and East entrances, and L10 Sud (Foc station) serves the North Access
  • FGC trains from Plaça d'Espanya stop at Europa | Fira, a quick and reliable option from hotels around Plaça d'Espanya
  • ISE runs a free shuttle bus from Plaça d'Espanya to the North Access on show mornings, with return services in the afternoon and evening
  • Doors open at 10:00, with 09:00 early entry to selected halls, and the show closes at 16:00 on the final Friday

Between Gran Via, Montjuïc and the city

  • Fira Montjuïc, where EdTech Congress and Spark run on 3 and 4 February, sits directly behind Plaça d'Espanya, so a hotel there covers both sites well
  • A T-casual or multi-day travel card is better value than single metro tickets if you are making several trips a day
  • Taxis are plentiful but queues at the venue ranks build at closing time; walking to a nearby street or taking the metro is often faster
  • February in Barcelona is mild but can be wet and cool in the evenings, so a light coat is worth bringing

Do you need a visa for ISE (Integrated Systems Europe)?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • Spain is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
  • Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit Schengen for business for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa
  • Non-EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System at the border, with fingerprints and a photo taken on first entry, so allow extra time at passport control

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short-stay (type C) visa, applied for through Spain's consulates or their appointed visa centres
  • Applications can be lodged up to six months before travel; appointment slots before major fairs are limited, so apply as soon as your ISE trip is confirmed
  • Exhibitors can usually request an invitation letter from the organiser to support the visa application

Documents to carry

  • A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area, issued within the last ten years
  • Your ISE badge confirmation, hotel booking and return travel details, which border officers may ask to see
  • If you need a visa, keep copies of your invitation letter, travel insurance and employer letter in your hand luggage

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements with the Spanish embassy or consulate, or official EU sources, before you book.

First time at ISE (Integrated Systems Europe)?

  • Badge prices rise once the show opens on 2 February, so register in advance; the badge also covers the EdTech Congress and Spark floors at Fira Montjuïc on 3 and 4 February
  • The Gran Via site is long, and walking from one end to the other takes time; plan each day by hall rather than criss-crossing the venue
  • Children under 16 are not admitted, and 16-18 year olds must register and be accompanied by an adult
  • Free cloakrooms are available at several entrances, so you do not have to carry luggage around on your arrival or departure day
  • If you have meetings at both sites, keep Wednesday or Thursday for Montjuïc, as that is when the co-located floors are open

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • Use the 09:00 early entry to the selected halls to see key stands before the main crowds arrive at 10:00
  • The free shuttle from Plaça d'Espanya runs only on show mornings for the outbound trip, so later arrivals should plan on the FGC or metro
  • Barcelona dines late: restaurants near the hotels fill from about 21:00, so book client dinners in advance during show week
  • Friday closes early at 16:00, which makes a Friday evening flight home realistic if you are near the L9 Sud line

ISE (Integrated Systems Europe) travel FAQs

Where should I stay in Barcelona for ISE?

For the shortest commute, choose a hotel along the Gran Via in L'Hospitalet next to the halls. Plaça d'Espanya is the most flexible base, close to Fira Montjuïc and served by the free ISE shuttle, the FGC and the metro, while Sants and Eixample suit visitors who want more of the city.

Where is ISE 2027 held?

The main exhibition is at Fira Barcelona Gran Via in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat from 2 to 5 February 2027. For 2027 ISE also extends into Fira Montjuïc, where EdTech Congress and Spark open to ISE badge holders on 3 and 4 February.

How do I get to the venue from Barcelona airport?

Metro line L9 Sud runs direct from El Prat's terminals to the Fira and Europa | Fira stations at the venue. A taxi takes about 15 minutes in normal traffic.

How early should I book ISE Barcelona hotels?

As early as you can: properties near the Gran Via halls and around Plaça d'Espanya are in heavy demand during ISE week. Booking a rate with free cancellation, where the hotel offers it, lets you secure a room and change plans later.

Can I book hotels for different dates than the show days?

Yes. You can change the check-in and check-out dates in the hotel search to match your own schedule, for example if you are arriving early for build-up.

Can you arrange accommodation for an exhibitor team?

Yes. Send the number of rooms, dates and preferred area through the enquiry form and we will come back with a team quote within 24 hours.
