3 May – 5 May 2027 NRG Park 30,000+ attendees
The Offshore Technology Conference 2027 runs 3-5 May at NRG Park in Houston, the event's home since it began in 1969. OTC draws more than 30,000 engineers, drilling contractors, operators, service companies and national oil company delegations from across the global offshore energy sector - a genuinely international crowd, with heavy attendance from the Gulf, West Africa, Brazil, Norway and Asia. The exhibition is famous for its scale: full-size subsea hardware, cranes and drilling equipment spill from NRG Center's halls into vast outdoor lots. Hotels cluster in the Texas Medical Center and along the NRG corridor, and this compact band of convenient rooms sells out quickly to exhibitor and delegation blocks - Houston is car-scaled, so proximity matters more here than in most cities. This page lists live bookable rates sorted by real distance to NRG Park.

The Texas Medical Center is the sweet spot - one or two light-rail stops from NRG Park with the densest cluster of business hotels. Downtown Houston works well too because the Red Line runs directly to the venue, while the Galleria offers upscale rooms at the cost of a 20-30 minute drive.
Medical Center and NRG-area hotels commonly double their normal rates during OTC week, and the closest properties sell out to exhibitor blocks well in advance. Downtown rises less sharply because inventory is deeper.
Six months or more ahead for anything near NRG Park - returning exhibitors rebook almost immediately after each edition. Booking early with free cancellation is the standard play.
George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) for international and most long-haul flights, about 45-60 minutes from NRG Park. Hobby (HOU) is closer to the venue and often more convenient for domestic travellers.
Yes - unusually for Houston, the answer is a firm yes. The METRORail Red Line stops at Stadium Park/Astrodome right beside NRG Park, connecting it to the Medical Center, Museum District and downtown for US$1.25 a ride.
