Getting there
From IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport)
- IAH is about 25 miles north of NRG Park; a taxi or ride-hail takes 45-60 minutes in normal traffic and roughly US$60-80, longer in the afternoon peak
- METRO's 102 bus links IAH to downtown Houston, where the Red Line light rail continues south to NRG Park - budget well over an hour but only a few dollars
- Most international and long-haul flights arrive at IAH, so overseas OTC delegations should plan around it
- Monday morning of OTC week is the worst arrival window for road traffic on I-45 and I-69; land Sunday if you can
From HOU (William P. Hobby Airport)
- Hobby is the closer airport to NRG Park - about 11 miles east, typically 20-30 minutes by car and noticeably cheaper by ride-hail than IAH
- Hobby is dominated by Southwest and domestic routes, so US-based attendees can often save an hour of transfer time by choosing it
- METRO bus route 40 connects Hobby toward the Fannin South area with a transfer to the Red Line, though most arrivals with luggage take a car
- Rental cars are quick to collect at Hobby's consolidated facility if you plan to drive during the week
