Pebble Beach Golf Links has hosted six U.S. Opens and will stage its seventh in 2027, yet it remains a public, pay-and-play course — the rare championship venue where an ordinary golfer can walk the same fairways as the game’s greats. The routing hugs the Pacific for a breathtaking stretch from the 4th to the 10th and again at the 17th and 18th, with small greens, ocean wind and the Del Monte Forest framing every shot. It is expensive and heavily booked, but for most golfers it is the ultimate bucket-list round.
