About TPC Harding Park
Opened in 1925 to a Willie Watson and Sam Whiting design, Harding Park is San Francisco's grand old municipal course, wrapped around Lake Merced and framed by towering cypress and Monterey pines. A city-funded restoration in the early 2000s and a partnership with the PGA Tour's TPC network turned the once-faded muni into a championship stage that has hosted the Presidents Cup, two World Golf Championships and the 2020 PGA Championship won by Collin Morikawa. Despite that pedigree it remains owned by the City and County of San Francisco and open to daily-fee play. It is one of the most accessible major venues in the game — a true public course with a big-event resume.
