Sunday 1 November 2026 Sepang International CircuitUpdated Wednesday 21 October 2026
13 hotels from our mapped pool sit within 15 km of Sepang International Circuit, 1 of them within a 40-minute walk. Closest are Sri Enstek Hotel (52 min). Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix: Race (Weekend) is on Sunday 1 November 2026. For that night the cheapest listed room starts around A$46 per night and the median is A$112, +93% against a normal A$58 night. Rates sampled 21 Oct 2026.
Sepang International Circuit sits well outside central Kuala Lumpur, so this is a trip built around a short drive rather than a stroll. Of the 13 hotels listed within 15 kilometres, only one is genuinely walkable, Sri Enstek Hotel at 3.17 kilometres, and even that is a 52-minute walk, so most people will be using some form of transport on race day. Sepang itself holds the bulk of the options, eight hotels ranging from 3-star to 5-star, and is the natural base if you want to stay close to the action. Putrajaya and the outskirt hotels sit a little further out and suit travellers happy to trade proximity for a quieter stay, while Seremban is the furthest cluster, better suited to those building a longer Malaysia trip around the race. Rooms near the circuit get snapped up fast on Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix weekend, so do not leave your Sepang booking to the last minute.
The Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix race weekend lands on 1 November 2026, and with only one of 13 hotels within walking distance of the circuit, the closer Sepang options fill early. If you want to stay in Sepang itself, lock in your room well ahead of November. Travellers happy to stay in Putrajaya, the outskirts or Seremban have more breathing room to decide later.
Areas are the supplier zones our mapped hotels fall into, ordered by distance to the venue. Prices are the median event-night rate for the hotels we list in that area.

2 hotels · 7.0–8.3 km · 0 walkable

Spectators can take the KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit train from KL Sentral to KLIA, with the non-stop Ekspres taking around 28 to 33 minutes. On non-race days public transport onward from the airport is limited, so travellers are advised to plan shuttle, taxi or e-hailing connections for the final leg.

During the Formula One weekend RapidKL operates around 95 free shuttle buses to the circuit roughly every 10 to 15 minutes from 7am to midnight across all three days, with no ticket or booking required. Pickup points include KLIA Terminal 2 Level 1 bus hub, the Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA bus hub, the KLIA Long Term Car Park and Bandar Baru Enstek.
All cars entering the Sepang venue for the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix needed a valid parking pass, and cars without one were not permitted near the circuit. Several zones, including the premium PA1, P2 and P3 areas, sold out ahead of the event, and passes had to be collected in advance from Mitsui Outlet Park.
Only public taxis, Grab and Limousine KLIA are permitted to travel directly to the circuit, while standard four-seater Grab bookings, advance bookings and group rides must instead be set to one of four designated shuttle hubs. For the return journey spectators are directed to a taxi and e-hailing rank on the western side of the circuit near the Go Kart and Concert Area, rather than the main entrance.

Police enforced daily traffic diversions from 8am to 11pm throughout the Sepang event, with road users urged to follow directed alternative routes. Checkpoints along approach roads, including the KLIA toll plaza and nearby roundabouts, checked tickets and parking passes.
Sepang International Circuit is located beside Kuala Lumpur International Airport, roughly 3.5 kilometres from the terminal, making KLIA Terminal 2 the natural arrival point since both the KLIA Ekspres and the race shuttle hub depart from there. Terminal 1 is a separate building requiring an inter-terminal shuttle before connecting to the train or circuit bus.
KLIA advised that parking at Terminal 1 and the KLIA Long Term Car Park was extremely limited and expected to reach full capacity early each day during the race weekend. Visitors were strongly advised not to drive to KLIA intending to park there before heading to the circuit.

Grab set up shaded waiting tents, cooling fans and a physical queue management system called PIN and RIDE at the Long Term Car Park to help spectators leave after the race, with a free shuttle running continuously between the circuit and the car park. Despite this, reports noted that Grab pickups directly at the circuit itself remained very difficult after sessions.
