Travel insurance covers your ability to travel, not the festival taking place. If the festival is cancelled by the organiser, that is usually handled by the ticket seller’s refund policy. An excess is the amount you pay towards a claim. Whether one applies, and how much, is set by the insurer and varies by plan, not by Event Escapes. We do not receive the excess figure in the quote, so always check the excess in the insurer’s policy documents before you buy.
Can travel insurance cover my event tickets?+
When you add trip cancellation cover and include the value of your tickets in your total trip cost, the money you have spent on event tickets, hotels and flights can be protected if you have to cancel or cut your trip short for a covered reason. Check each plan for what counts as a covered reason.
Can I still get cover if my trip is already booked?+
