Airspace World, the global event for air traffic management and the wider airspace industry, returns to FIL (Feira Internacional de Lisboa) in Lisbon's Parque das Nações from Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 May 2027. It is organised by CANSO, the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation, and brings together air navigation service providers, airlines, airports, regulators, government bodies, defence organisations and technology providers in ATM, AI, automation, cybersecurity, surveillance, UTM, advanced air mobility and digital towers. Alongside the exhibition runs a free conference of keynotes, panels, technical presentations and workshops, and CANSO presents the Seamless Skies Awards during the event. The organiser describes it as bringing together more than 7,000 aviation professionals, and visitor registration is free. FIL sits beside Gare do Oriente and, according to the organiser, less than ten minutes from Lisbon Airport, so Airspace World hotels range from Parque das Nações within walking distance of the halls to the city centre. From Lisbon Airport (LIS)
- The organiser puts Lisbon Airport less than ten minutes from FIL, with direct flights to Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa and beyond
- FIL is next to Gare do Oriente, which the venue says is served by the Metro red line, Carris buses, express coaches and taxis
- Taxis and ride hailing cars are the simplest option if you arrive with stand materials or a group
- Allow extra time on the Tuesday morning, when exhibitors and visitors arrive for the opening

- Gare do Oriente beside FIL has train services, and the organiser notes that high speed and regional rail link Lisbon with destinations across Portugal and Spain

- Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
- Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
- ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly

- Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through Portugal's consulates or their appointed visa centres
- Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
- Visitor registration for 2027 was not yet open when we checked, and the organiser's site does not describe a visa letter service; contact the Airspace World team through its website early if you will need one

- Thursday 27 May closes at 16:00, earlier than the other days, so an evening flight home from Lisbon is realistic
