16 June – 19 June 2027 Mystery Creek Events Centre 110,000 attendees
Fieldays, the New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays, is the largest agricultural event in the Southern Hemisphere, held at the Mystery Creek Events Centre near Hamilton in the Waikato region. Over four days it gathers farmers, agribusiness, machinery and equipment makers, rural-tech innovators, exhibitors and international trade delegations across a huge outdoor and indoor site. For a hotel-booking traveller, the appeal is the venue's convenience paired with limited nearby capacity: Mystery Creek sits just minutes from Hamilton Airport and about 15 minutes from Hamilton's city centre, but the region's hotel and motel stock is modest for an event drawing well over 100,000 visitors. That pushes many attendees to book in Hamilton, in nearby towns like Cambridge and Te Awamutu, or further afield toward Auckland, and to drive or shuttle in. Because parking and access roads get busy, staying close to Hamilton or on a good route to the venue makes daily travel smoother during this iconic, heavily attended rural event.
