hanseBAU, which its organiser calls the largest building fair in north west Germany, returns to Messe Bremen from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 January 2027, open from 10:00 to 18:00 each day, together with the Bremer Altbautage for owners of older homes. Over one weekend more than 400 exhibitors from around 50 trades, from architects and garden designers to carpenters, heating engineers and insulation firms, fill Halls 5, 6 and 7 and the open-air area, with around 100 free talks and building demonstrations. It is a public fair for anyone planning a new build, a renovation, a new bathroom or a heating upgrade, and the Friday adds specialist forums for architects, planners and the building trade. The 2026 edition drew 14,781 visitors and 412 exhibitors. Messe Bremen sits right behind the main station, so hanseBAU hotels around the Hauptbahnhof, in Findorff and in the Altstadt are all close.
