Hispack, Fira de Barcelona's trade fair for packaging, processing and logistics, holds its 20th edition from Tuesday 4 to Friday 7 May 2027 in Halls 2 and 3 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. It runs every three years, so 2027 is the first edition since 2024, and it shares the dates with Graphispag, the graphic arts fair, in Hall 1. The five sectors are packaging machinery and process, labelling and bottling, logistics, automation and robotics, brand packaging and industrial packaging, and the 2027 programme is built around two new areas: the Brand District in Hall 2 and the Tech & Trade District in Hall 3, with Best in Class case studies, Engineers Day and themed tours. Hispack 2024 registered 26,273 attendees and 819 exhibitors from 31 countries, and the organiser expects more than 900 exhibitors in 2027. It is a trade event for food and non food manufacturers, brand owners, engineers and buyers. The Gran Via venue is in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, on metro line L9 Sud from the airport and on FGC trains from Plaça d'Espanya, so Hispack hotels work beside the halls, around Plaça d'Espanya, in Sants or in Eixample. This page shows live rates for your dates; your visitor accreditation is arranged with the organiser and is separate from your hotel booking.

  • The single ticket and the T-casual are not valid to or from the airport stations; TMB points you to the Airport ticket or a card such as the Hola Barcelona Travel Card
  • Fira de Barcelona puts the venue 12 kilometres from the airport by road on the C-31, and TMB bus 46 links the airport with the Pl. Europa stop
  • Taxis wait at both terminals; Fira de Barcelona says the official AMB Taxi Barcelona app gives an approximate fare

Arriving by train or by road

  • Long distance and high speed trains arrive at Barcelona Sants, which Fira de Barcelona places 4 kilometres from the fairground
  • FGC lines L8, S3, S4, S8, S9, R5, R50, R6 and R60 stop at Europa/Fira, and all of them run on to Espanya station
  • From the city centre you can also take metro L1 to Torrassa and change to L9 Sud for the Fira and Europa/Fira stations
  • By road the venue connects to the AP-7, AP-2, A-2, C-16, C-58, C-31, C-32 and C-33

How do you get around during Hispack?

Getting to Halls 2 and 3 each day

  • Metro L9 Sud stops at Fira and Europa/Fira, and metro L10 Sud at Foc, according to Fira de Barcelona
  • TMB bus lines H12, V1, 46, 65 and 79 also serve the Gran Via venue
  • Fira de Barcelona has taxi ranks at the venue; licensed taxis show a green light when free and carry a visible meter
  • Hispack uses Halls 2 and 3 and Graphispag Hall 1, so check which hall your meetings are in before you set off across the site

Where to stay for Hispack

  • L'Hospitalet around the Gran Via venue is the closest base for exhibitors on long stand days
  • Plaça d'Espanya puts you at the end of the FGC lines that stop at Europa/Fira, with the city on your doorstep in the evening
  • Sants suits teams arriving or leaving by high speed train
  • Eixample suits visitors who want to be central and do not mind a metro or FGC ride with a change

Do you need a visa for Hispack?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • Spain is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
  • Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
  • Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
  • ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through Spain's consulates or their appointed visa centres
  • Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
  • Visitor accreditation for 2027 had not opened when we checked, and the Hispack site does not yet describe a visa letter service; contact the organiser early if you will need one

Documents to carry

  • A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area
  • Your Hispack accreditation once issued, plus your hotel booking and return travel details
  • If you need a visa, keep copies of your invitation letter, travel medical insurance and employer letter in your hand luggage

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements with the Spanish embassy or consulate, or official EU sources, before you book.

First time at Hispack?

  • Hispack runs every three years and 2027 is the first edition since 2024, so book rooms early once your trip is confirmed
  • Visitor accreditation for 2027 was not yet open when we checked, and opening hours had not been published; watch the official site before you plan your days
  • Hispack and Graphispag share the Gran Via venue on the same dates, Hispack in Halls 2 and 3 and Graphispag in Hall 1, so one trip can cover packaging and printing
  • The Brand District in Hall 2 covers packaging as a brand and sustainability tool, while the Tech & Trade District in Hall 3 hosts business meetings, international programmes, themed tours and Engineers Day
  • Fira de Barcelona warns that it does not sell visitor lists; ignore emails offering Hispack attendee data

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • The organiser plans to invite 70 selected buyers from markets including Mexico, Morocco, Egypt and Algeria, so exhibitors targeting those markets should plan meetings in the Tech & Trade District
  • For the 20th edition there is a Hispack 20 Night on 5 May 2027 at the Llotja de Mar in Barcelona, by invitation only, plus a commemorative book honouring the companies that took part in the first edition in 1983
