Getting there
From Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER)
- The S9 S-Bahn runs from BER through the city centre to Messe Süd station, right at the southern entrance of the fairgrounds — allow around 50–60 minutes
- Faster to the centre: the FEX airport express reaches Berlin Hauptbahnhof in about 30 minutes, where you can change to S-Bahn services towards Spandau for Messe Süd
- BER sits in tariff zone C, so buy an ABC ticket (around €5) rather than the standard AB city ticket
- A taxi from BER to the Messe or City West typically takes 45–60 minutes and costs roughly €55–70 depending on traffic
By rail from other German cities
- ICE and IC trains arrive at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, with direct connections from Hamburg (~2h), Leipzig (~1h15) and Frankfurt (~4h)
- From Hauptbahnhof, S-Bahn trains towards Spandau reach Messe Süd in about 15 minutes
- Berlin-Spandau station is also served by many long-distance trains and is only a few S-Bahn stops from the fairgrounds

- Three stations serve the fairgrounds: Messe Süd (S3/S9), Messe Nord/ICC on the Ringbahn (S41/S42), and U2 stops Kaiserdamm and Theodor-Heuss-Platz for the northern entrances
- Trains into Messe Süd are packed between 09:00 and 10:00 on show days — travelling 30 minutes earlier makes a real difference
- Ride-hail and taxis face heavy queues on Messedamm at opening and closing; drop-off is often slower than the S-Bahn from City West
- Hotels around Kaiserdamm, Theodor-Heuss-Platz and Westend put you within a 10–20 minute walk of the halls
