About Olympiastadion
Berlin’s Olympiastadion holds about 74,000 and is the home of Hertha BSC as well as the annual DFB-Pokal final and major internationals. Hertha’s ultras and loudest support gather in the Ostkurve behind the east goal, opposite the open Marathon Gate at the west end, with the Haupttribüne main stand on the south side and the Gegentribüne opposite. A running track keeps every seat back from the pitch, but the covered ring roof and historic scale make it a spectacular venue. Best central views are from the covered Haupttribüne.
A monumental 1936 Olympic stadium, its original stone bowl preserved and crowned in the 2000–2004 renovation with a sweeping translucent ring roof covering all seats bar the open Marathon Gate at the west end. A blue running track rings the pitch, and the Olympic bell tower and Maifeld frame the vast, historic setting.

How the venue is set up
Bundesliga / domestic football
Hertha BSC matches use the full bowl with the Ostkurve as the home ultras’ end and away fans in a segregated corner.
Cup finals / internationals
Hosts the annual DFB-Pokal final and Germany internationals, with neutral or split allocations and a heightened big-match atmosphere; it staged the 2024 European Championship final.
Athletics / concerts
The blue track hosts the ISTAF athletics meeting and world championships, and the bowl is a major concert venue with a stage at the Marathon Gate end.

The main grandstand with the halfway line, dugouts, tunnel and VIP and press facilities.
Pros: Best central sightlines and full roof cover.
Cons: Priciest area and the track still sets you back.

The side stand opposite the main stand.
Pros: Central side view for less than the Haupttribüne.
Cons: Faces the dugouts and can catch the sun.
OstkurveOstkurve
The home ultras’ end behind the east goal.
Pros: The atmosphere, songs and displays of Hertha’s support.
Cons: Behind-goal angle and the largest track gap.
Westkurve / Marathon GateWestkurve
The west end by the open Marathon Gate and Olympic cauldron, often the away and neutral area.
Pros: Historic backdrop and cheaper seats.
Cons: The only uncovered part of the ground and furthest from the Ostkurve noise.

Front rows around the bowl: The running track pushes you back from the touchline and hides low action.
Westkurve / Marathon Gate seats: Uncovered and exposed to the weather, and furthest from the atmosphere.
Back rows of the upper ring: Very high and distant from the far goal in a huge stadium.
Corners by the away segregation: Buffer zones and netting can clip the view and mute the atmosphere.
Accessibility & companion seating
The renovated stadium provides wheelchair and companion positions with step-free access, lifts and accessible facilities, bookable in advance through Hertha BSC or the event organiser. Accessible parking and assistance are available on request.
Where: Wheelchair spaces are located at the front of the lower ring around the sides and behind the goals.

Getting there
Transport
U-Bahn line U2 to Olympia-Stadion and S-Bahn lines S3/S9 to Olympiastadion both drop you a few minutes’ walk from the gates. There is large-scale parking around the Olympic Park, but the U- and S-Bahn are the quickest way in on event days.
The area
The stadium sits in the Westend/Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf area within the leafy Olympiapark, alongside the Waldbühne amphitheatre and the swimming stadium. It is a spacious, historic sports park on the western edge of Berlin.
