MIPCOM CANNES 2027, the international market for TV and entertainment content, takes place from Monday 18 to Thursday 21 October 2027 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, at the start of La Croisette in Cannes. The organiser, RX France, reported 10,100 delegates at the 2026 edition, including 3,150 buyers, from 104 countries. MIPCOM is not MIPIM: MIPIM is the real estate market held at the same Palais each March, while MIPCOM brings broadcasters, streamers, distributors and creators together every October. The Palais says Cannes station is a six minute walk away, so hotels on La Croisette, in the town centre and around the station all keep you close to the market. When central Cannes is full, Antibes and Nice are on the coastal ZOU rail line, which the Palais says runs every 15 minutes from Cannes towards Menton. From Nice Côte d'Azur Airport (NCE)
- The Palais des Festivals describes Nice Côte d'Azur as less than 30 km from La Croisette and the main international gateway for Cannes
- ZOU bus 81, formerly the 210 AirportXpress, links both terminals with central Cannes; the Palais puts the motorway journey at around 45 minutes
- Buy your bus 81 ticket before you board: the airport says tickets are not sold on board
- Nice Saint-Augustin train station is about a 7 minute walk from Terminal 1 along a pedestrian walkway, according to the airport, for regional trains along the coast
By train, road or business aviation
- Cannes station is served by INOUI and OUIGO high speed trains and night trains, and the Palais has timed the walk from the station at six minutes
- The Palais lists train journeys of about 2 hours from Marseille and about 5 hours 15 minutes from Paris
- The A8 motorway serves Cannes, and the P01 car park beneath the Palais is open around the clock with 924 spaces
- Cannes-Mandelieu airport handles business aviation and is about 15 minutes from the Palais, according to the venue
How do you get around during MIPCOM Cannes?
Getting to the Palais each day
- From La Croisette, the town centre and the station area, walking is the simplest way to the Palais; the venue says the station is six minutes away on foot
- From Antibes or Nice, the coastal ZOU train to Cannes station avoids the road traffic, and the Palais says trains run every 15 minutes from Cannes towards Menton
- In 2026 MIPCOM ran a free shuttle for participants from hotels outside Cannes to the Palais; check the 2027 shuttle schedule on the MIPCOM site before relying on it
- Print your badge before you travel: MIPCOM's FAQ says a printed badge is needed for access and a digital version is not accepted
Around Cannes during MIPCOM
- Rue d'Antibes and the Allées de la Liberté, both beside the Palais, are the venue's own suggestions for shopping, a drink or a break between meetings
- Le Suquet, the old quarter above the port, is close to the Palais and good for quieter dinners
- Luggage is not allowed inside the MIPCOM premises on market days; in 2026 a free left luggage service ran at the Gare Maritime, so plan your departure day around it
- Free Wi-Fi was available throughout the MIPCOM premises on show days in 2026, according to the organiser
Do you need a visa for MIPCOM Cannes?
Visa-free / visa on arrival
- France is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
- Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
- Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
- ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly
eVisa / visa required
- Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through France's consulates or their appointed visa centres
- Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
- MIPCOM's FAQ says exhibitors can download a visa letter from their registration confirmation, and other participants can ask the MIPCOM helpdesk for help with a visa
Documents to carry
- A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area
- Your printed MIPCOM badge and a photo ID, which the organiser's admission policy says you should be able to show on request
- Hotel booking and return travel details, plus copies of your visa supporting documents and travel medical insurance if you need a visa

First time at MIPCOM Cannes?
- MIPCOM is a professional market: the organiser's admission policy limits entry to pre-registered badge holders and accepted delegates from the industry, and no one under 18 without prior written authorisation
- Your badge is only issued once your registration is fully paid and your photo is uploaded to the MIPCOM platform, so complete your profile early
- In 2026 the registration desk opened on the Friday before the market, so arriving a day or two early lets you collect a badge and settle in before Monday's opening
- Market hours in 2026 were 08:30 to 19:00 Monday to Wednesday and 08:30 to 16:00 on Thursday; check the 2027 hours before you book your journey home
- Wear comfortable shoes, as days involve a lot of walking between the Palais, hotels and meeting places along the seafront
