SHOT Show, the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show owned and run by NSSF (the Firearm Industry Trade Association), returns to Las Vegas from Tuesday 19 to Friday 22 January 2027. Unusually, the show floor is split across two buildings, The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum, and SHOT Week starts earlier with events such as the Supplier Showcase on Monday 18 January. The 2026 edition drew more than 53,000 industry professionals from all 50 states and 126 countries, and the organiser expects more than 2,700 exhibitors in 2027. It is a trade only show, so every attendee must qualify with business documents before a badge is issued. How do you get to SHOT Show?
From Harry Reid International (LAS)
- The organiser puts the airport about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the Strip, with The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum just minutes away
- Taxis use flat zone fares from LAS: the organiser says its official hotels, other than Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas, are in Zone 3 at a flat US$30.25, plus a US$3.00 fee if you pay by card
- Taxis wait directly outside baggage claim; Uber and Lyft can be cheaper off peak but involve longer waits and surge pricing, so compare both apps when you land
- International nonstop routes named by the organiser include London (British Airways), Paris (Air France) and Seoul (Korean Air), plus a seasonal Qantas service from Sydney running through March 2027
By road and hire car
- Attendees within driving distance can save on flights, but the organiser warns that free parking in or near The Venetian Expo is getting harder to find
- SHOT Show does not validate parking at The Venetian Resort or at Caesars properties such as The LINQ and Harrah's, so budget for paid resort parking
- The LAS Rent-A-Car Center is about three miles from the airport and reached by shuttle bus; the organiser notes airport rental prices run higher than off-airport branches
- World of Concrete is on at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 19 to 21 January, the same week, so the organiser advises booking hire cars early
How do you get around during SHOT Show?
Getting to The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum
- The organiser says many attendees staying on the Strip will be within a 10 minute walk of The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum
- Harrah's & The LINQ is the Las Vegas Monorail stop for SHOT Show and, according to the organiser, connects directly to Caesars Forum; you can add a discounted unlimited Monorail pass to your registration and it rides on your badge QR code
- A free shuttle bus links 11 official SHOT Show hotels with the show in the morning and afternoon, with schedules posted online and in the show app before the show; it serves those official hotels only
- The organiser does not publish a walking time between the two venues, so check the floorplan to see which building your key exhibitors are in and group your meetings by venue
Around Las Vegas
- The Monorail runs from 7am every day, until midnight on Monday, 2am Tuesday to Thursday and 3am Friday to Sunday, with trains every 4 to 8 minutes
- Driverless taxis are now part of the mix: the organiser notes Zoox can pick up at LAS and Waymo serves destinations on the Strip, at prices above taxis and rideshare
- Evening industry receptions and the separately ticketed SHOT After Dark mixers run until 10:30pm at venues around the Strip, so a central hotel keeps late journeys short
- Strip restaurants fill up during big trade shows, so reserve tables for client dinners well ahead
Do you need a visa for SHOT Show?
Visa-free / visa on arrival
- Citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries (including the UK, most of the EU, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore) can travel without a visa using an approved ESTA
- The organiser warns that getting a visa or ESTA approval can take a long time, so apply as soon as you decide to go
- Canadian citizens generally need neither a visa nor an ESTA for business visits of this kind
eVisa / visa required
- Nationals of countries outside the Visa Waiver Program, including China and India, need a B-1 business visitor visa with an in person consular interview
- The organiser asks you to request your visa during registration, and to email visa@shotshow.org if you need a letter inviting you to SHOT Show
- US visa interview wait times vary widely by country, so start the process as soon as your trip is likely
Documents to carry
- Your SHOT Show registration approval and the business documents you used to qualify, as the show is trade only
- Government issued photo ID, which you need with your confirmation number to collect your badge in person
- Proof of accommodation and a return or onward ticket: CBP officers can ask for both
- A passport valid for your entire stay; VWP travellers must hold an e-passport
US entry requirements and fees change; verify current rules with the US embassy or official government sources before you book.
First time at SHOT Show?
- SHOT Show is trade only and not open to the public: you register with the organiser, send documents showing your company and your own role in the trade, and no one under 16 is admitted. A hotel booking with us does not include a badge or admission
- The organiser says reserving a room does not mean your registration will be approved, and it is not responsible for travel cancellation fees if you are declined, so pick a free cancellation rate until your badge is confirmed
- Badges are not mailed: each person collects their own in Las Vegas, the organiser runs 24 hour pickup at The Venetian Resort and Harrah's/LINQ, and a lost badge costs US$200 to replace
- The exhibit floor is open 8:30am to 5:30pm Tuesday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4:00pm on Friday 22 January
- No personal firearms or ammunition are allowed at the show, and the organiser notes most Las Vegas resorts have long had policies against firearms on property, so check with your hotel

- Group your meetings by building: if most of yours are at Caesars Forum, Harrah's and The LINQ put you next to the Monorail stop that connects to it, while the Venetian and Palazzo suit a schedule centred on The Venetian Expo
- At the 2026 show the organiser said Tuesday morning had the longest registration lines and Caesars Forum the shorter queues, so arrive by Sunday or Monday and collect your badge before opening day
- World of Concrete runs at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 19 to 21 January 2027, so the whole city is busy that week; book early, especially for stays of four nights or more
