Can I play Bandon Trails?
Yes — Bandon Trails is one of five public courses at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, open to any golfer who books a tee time. It's a pay-and-play resort course with no membership or handicap requirement; resort guests simply get first priority on the tee sheet. Non-guests can also play, subject to availability.
How to book: Reserve through the resort's golf shop or website; booking a stay locks in guaranteed tee times across all five courses, while day visitors can call closer to the date for openings. Peak summer dates fill months in advance, so book early. The resort is walking-only, and caddies can be arranged when you book.
About Bandon Trails
Bandon Trails is the odd one out among Bandon Dunes' five courses: instead of hugging the Pacific, Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw routed it inland, opening in 2005 with a journey that begins in open meadow, climbs into coastal forest and bursts back into towering sand dunes for the finish. The par-71 layout is a study in variety and restraint, with wide fairways, bold bunkering and dramatic elevation change. Like the rest of the resort it is strictly walking, played with a caddie or push cart, and it has shared hosting duties for the U.S. Amateur. Best of all it is fully public — anyone can play, with resort guests getting first call on tee times.

The closing stretch is the drama: after meandering through meadow and coastal forest, the routing bursts back into towering dunes for the downhill par-4 14th and a cresting, wind-blown finish.

Bandon lies on Oregon's south coast, about 4.5 hours by car from Portland via I-5 and OR-42, or 2.5 hours from Eugene. Most guests fly into North Bend (OTH), 30 minutes north, then drive or arrange a resort shuttle; a rental car is useful for the remote setting.
