Access & booking

Can I play Education City Golf Club?

Yes — Education City Golf Club is open to the public and welcomes visitors to its 18-hole championship course as well as its floodlit 9-hole par-three and 6-hole layouts. Developed under Qatar Foundation, it is a pay-and-play facility rather than a private members' club. Book a tee time in advance, especially for the championship course.

How to book: Reserve online at ecgolf.com or by phone; a day or two of lead time is usually enough outside peak winter weekends. Twilight and the shorter 6-hole and floodlit 9-hole options are cheaper alternatives to the full championship round. Carts are included on the championship course.

About Education City Golf Club

Opened in 2019 under the patronage of Qatar Foundation, Education City Golf Club is a José María Olazábal design set within Doha's landmark Education City. The 33-hole complex pairs a par-72, 7,306-yard championship course with a floodlit 9-hole par-three and a 6-hole layout, all backed by a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence academy. In 2020 it took over hosting of the European Tour's Commercial Bank Qatar Masters from Doha Golf Club, with Jorge Campillo and Antoine Rozner among its winners. Fully open to the public, it is one of the Gulf's newest and most accessible championship venues.

Signature hole

José María Olazábal's design saves its drama for a water-laced back nine — the 230-yard par-3 9th and the closing holes, where ponds and waste areas guard the greens, provide the sternest tests and the venue's tournament finishes.
