Yes — La Mer is the championship links at the Le Touquet Golf Resort and welcomes visitors alongside guests of the resort's Le Manoir hotel. Book a green fee online or through the golf reception; proof of handicap is generally requested, and advance booking is advised in summer. It is regarded as one of France's finest links, on the dunes of the Opal Coast.
How to book: Reserve a tee time via the resort website, golf reception or a golf-travel partner; resort-hotel guests book as part of their stay. A few days' notice is prudent in the April–October high season. Buggies, trolleys and club hire are available at the clubhouse.
About Golf du Touquet (La Mer Course)
La Mer is the crown jewel of Golf du Touquet, laid out in 1931 by the celebrated architects Harry Colt and Charles Alison among the natural dunes of the Opal Coast, and sensitively restored in 2015 to recover its original character. Often called the first true links in France, it offers sweeping fairways, deep pot bunkers, blind shots and ever-present coastal wind, with the English Channel revealed dramatically at the closing hole. It has hosted the French Open on several occasions — the last in 1980, won by Seve Ballesteros — as well as senior professional golf. Part of a resort with the Le Manoir hotel across the road, it welcomes visitors and is one of the most accessible links experiences for travellers coming from the UK.
Signature hole
The reward comes at the finish: the 18th tee opens to the English Channel a few hundred metres to the west, capping a round played among the natural dunes.
