The Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club is a coastal links laid out along the tidal marshes of St. Simons Island, originally designed by Harry Colt and Charles Alison in 1929 and rebuilt by Tom Fazio in 1999. At par 70 it is a shot-maker's test, exposed to Atlantic wind with firm greens and marsh-lined fairways, and each November it co-hosts the PGA Tour's RSM Classic alongside the Plantation Course. Access is through the resort: guests of The Lodge and The Cloister, and Sea Island Club members, can play, with green fees that include cart, forecaddie and practice. It's the rare Tour venue an ordinary traveler can experience simply by booking a stay.
