About Streamsong Resort — Red Course
Opened in 2012 as part of Streamsong Resort, the Red Course was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw across the surreal sand dunes of a reclaimed central-Florida phosphate mine. The result is a firm, fast, treeless inland links with wide fairways, massive rolling greens and bold strategic options that reward creativity over sheer power. Streamsong is a public pay-and-play resort, so both overnight guests and day visitors can experience it, and the Red sits alongside the Blue and Black courses as one of the most acclaimed modern golf destinations in the country. Golfweek named it the best new course of 2012.

The Red is walkable and caddie-friendly, with vast dunescape, blowout bunkers and enormous greens rewarding the ground game. Carts are available most of the year but the resort walks-only in midwinter; allow around four and a half hours.

Streamsong sits in rural central Florida in Polk County, roughly halfway between Tampa and Orlando on the site of a former phosphate mine. It's about a 75–90 minute drive from either airport; a rental car is essential given the remote location.
Stay near the course
Stay at the on-site Streamsong Lodge or the Clubhouse rooms for tee-time priority, lower green fees and easy access to all three courses. There's little else nearby, so most golfers make it a self-contained stay-and-play trip.
