Custom Motor Show, which bills itself as northern Europe's largest motor show, fills the whole of Elmia in Jönköping over the Easter weekend, from Good Friday 26 to Easter Monday 29 March 2027. Run by Albinsson & Sjöberg with Elmia as host, the show has its roots in 1971, when clubs held their own car events at Elmia, and took its current form in 1984. Every hall is packed with custom builds, exclusive supercars, timeless classics, trucks and mopeds, along with the action arena and the Sveriges Snyggaste Bil (Sweden's best looking car) competition. The organiser's record is 97,083 visitors, set in 2024. This is a public show for car fans and families: visitor tickets go on sale at the end of November through Tickster and are also sold at the door. Private builders enter their vehicles through the organiser's registration page, and companies book stands through Elmia. Elmia is on the eastern side of Jönköping, with the E4 passing right by and city buses running from the railway station, so you can stay next to the halls or in the city centre by Lake Vättern. This page shows live Jönköping hotel rates for the show dates, which you can change. Show tickets are separate from your hotel, and Event Escapes is independent of Custom Motor Show.

- Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area, Sweden included, without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
- Non EU travellers are registered in the Entry/Exit System at the Schengen area's external borders, with fingerprints and a facial image taken, so allow extra time at passport control on arrival

- Apply well ahead of an Easter trip, as consulates can be busy and the show runs over the Swedish Easter holiday

- A passport valid for at least three months after you plan to leave the Schengen area
- A return ticket, your hotel booking confirmation and proof of funds; Migrationsverket says Sweden expects SEK 700 for each day of your visit

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements with the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket), the Swedish embassy or consulate, or official EU sources, before you book.
