16 Mar – 18 Mar 2027 NürnbergMesse 32,000 attendees
embedded world 2027 — the 25th edition of the exhibition and conference — runs 16–18 March at NürnbergMesse, and it is where the global embedded-systems community does its annual stocktake: some 32,000 engineers, developers, product managers and buyers examining microcontrollers, embedded software, safety and security tooling, and edge-AI hardware across a dense hall ring, with a serious paid conference alongside the free-to-register exhibition. Nuremberg is a compact city of half a million, so a fair of this scale consumes its hotel stock almost completely — Altstadt and Hauptbahnhof properties on the U1 line go first, then Langwasser near the Messe, and latecomers end up commuting from Fürth or Erlangen. This page shows live bookable rates for hotels across Nuremberg and its rail-connected neighbours for the March 2027 dates, so you can gauge the genuine market before the U1 corridor sells through.
Popular areas for attendees: Altstadt (Old Town) · Hauptbahnhof / city centre · Langwasser (near Messe).

NuernbergMesse sits just south of the old town, a few U-Bahn stops (U1) from the medieval centre where most dining lives. Franconian portions are hearty and kitchens close relatively early, so plan client dinners for a prompt start.

The Altstadt and Hauptbahnhof area combine evening life with an 8-minute U1 ride to the Messe, making them the most practical base. Langwasser puts you next to the fairground itself, while Fürth and Erlangen are the standard overflow choices when Nuremberg sells out.
Nuremberg is a small market hosting one of Europe's larger tech fairs, so rates jump sharply — often to a multiple of normal March pricing — and availability, not price, becomes the real problem. Nearby towns on the rail network stay noticeably cheaper.
Earlier than almost any comparable fair: four to six months out is the safe zone for central Nuremberg, and regulars book as soon as dates are announced. Late bookers should look immediately at Fürth or Erlangen rather than holding out.
Nuremberg (NUE) if its European connections suit you — it is 25 minutes from the Messe by metro. Otherwise Munich (MUC) or Frankfurt (FRA) plus a direct ICE to Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof is the standard long-haul routing.
The exhibition is the trade-show floor and is free with advance registration in recent editions, while the embedded world Conference is a separately ticketed, multi-track technical programme with peer-reviewed sessions. Many companies send engineers to both, but the passes are distinct.
