Forum LABO, the French trade show for the laboratory sector, comes back to Paris from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 March 2027 in Hall 4 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, open 9:00 to 18:00 each day. Owned by the CIFL, the French association of laboratory suppliers, it covers research, production and quality control labs across the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, cosmetics and biotech industries, with five areas: scientific instruments, lab equipment and technology, consumables and supplies, chemicals and reagents, and services, software and digital tools. Alongside the stands run a conference programme on the Agora stage, the Lab'Meetings platform for booking business meetings in advance and the Innovation Trophies. The show alternates between Paris and Lyon, so the 2027 edition is the Paris year, and entry is free for visitors who register. Porte de Versailles is inside Paris on Metro line 12 and tram T3a, so Forum LABO hotels range from the 15th arrondissement beside Hall 4 to Montparnasse, Issy-les-Moulineaux and the Left Bank. • From Charles de Gaulle, the organiser's route is RER B to Cité Universitaire and then tram T3 to Porte de Versailles - Parc des Expositions
  • Tram T3a runs along the southern edge of Paris and stops beside the exhibition park, so the RER B and tram route avoids changing Metro lines in the city centre
  • Taxis and ride hailing cars wait outside each terminal at both airports if you arrive late or with stand materials

From the Paris railway stations

  • From Gare Montparnasse and Gare Saint-Lazare, Metro line 12 runs straight to Porte de Versailles, according to the organiser
  • From Gare de Lyon, take Metro line 14 to Madeleine and change to line 12 for Porte de Versailles
  • From Gare du Nord or Gare de l'Est, take Metro line 4 to Montparnasse-Bienvenue and change to line 12
  • Check which Paris terminus your train uses before you book a hotel; a base on line 12 keeps both your arrival and the daily trip simple

How do you get around during Forum LABO Paris?

Getting to Hall 4 each day

  • Metro line 12 stops at Porte de Versailles, at the main entrance to the exhibition park
  • The organiser lists trams T2 and T3a at the Porte de Versailles - Parc des Expositions stop; T2 has been affected by works at this stop in the past, so check before you travel
  • Bus 80 stops at Porte de Versailles - Parc des Expositions and bus 39 at Desnouettes, according to the organiser
  • Forum LABO is in Hall 4, so allow a few extra minutes inside the park to reach the hall from the entrance you arrive at

Where to stay for Forum LABO

  • The 15th arrondissement around Porte de Versailles keeps you closest to Hall 4, and the venue operator Viparis lists Eklo, Mama Shelter, Novotel and Motel One hotels inside the exhibition park itself
  • Montparnasse, at the other end of a direct ride on Metro line 12, suits visitors arriving by train from the west and south of France
  • Issy-les-Moulineaux, just over the city boundary at the Mairie d'Issy end of Metro line 12, can be good value for exhibitor teams
  • Saint-Germain and the Latin Quarter give you more restaurants for evening client dinners; check each hotel's nearest Metro stop on the map before you book

Do you need a visa for Forum LABO Paris?

  • France is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
  • Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
  • Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
  • ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through France's consulates or their appointed visa centres

First time at Forum LABO Paris?

  • Entry is free for visitors, but you need to register online; the organiser sends your badge a few weeks before the show opens

  • Book meetings in advance through the Lab'Meetings platform, which the organiser runs to help visitors and exhibitors arrange targeted appointments
  • The opening conference on the Agora stage is on the morning of Tuesday 23 March 2027 from 10:00; check the online programme for the sessions you want before you plan your days
  • Forum LABO moves between Paris and Lyon, so make sure you are booking for the Paris edition at Porte de Versailles, Hall 4

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • The visitor mix is broad: the organiser's visitor page splits it between the private sector (industry, pharma, biotech, suppliers) and the public sector (academic labs, research and teaching), so plan for both kinds of conversation
  • The Innovation Trophies 2027 reward projects, laboratories, teams and individuals for scientific or technical excellence, a major innovation or their impact; entries close on 3 January 2027 and the award ceremony is in the show programme
