Getting there
From ORY (Paris Orly)
- Metro Line 14 runs direct from Orly into the city; change at Madeleine to Line 12, which terminates near Porte de Versailles — around 45 minutes total
- The metro fare from Orly uses the special airport rate (about 13 euros); onward city legs are covered once inside
- A taxi to the 15th arrondissement runs on the regulated left-bank flat fare, roughly 35-45 euros, taking 25-40 minutes
- Orly is the closer, simpler airport for this event — prefer it over CDG when fares are comparable
From CDG (Paris Charles de Gaulle)
- Take the RER B south to Cité Universitaire and hop on the T3a tram, which runs straight to Porte de Versailles — around 70-80 minutes all in
- Alternatively RER B to Denfert-Rochereau then Line 6 and Line 12 via Montparnasse for a more sheltered but change-heavy route
- Taxis to the left bank operate on a fixed fare of about 65 euros and take 45-75 minutes depending on the périphérique
- The RER B airport leg needs the airport ticket (about 13 euros); allow for rush-hour crowding with luggage

Getting to Porte de Versailles daily
- Metro Line 12's Porte de Versailles station exits directly opposite the venue, and trams T2 and T3a stop alongside — this is one of the best-connected big venues in Europe
- Line 12 links the venue to Montparnasse in four stops, which is why Montparnasse hotels are a favourite VivaTech base
- Morning entry queues at Hall 1 peak from 8:30; badges are QR-scanned, so have your phone ready before the doors
- Ride-hail to the venue in the morning is fine, but after the evening sessions the surrounding boulevards gridlock — the metro wins

How much do hotels cost during VivaTech?
June is already the most expensive month in Paris, and VivaTech adds a sharp localised spike in the 15th and Montparnasse — expect rates well above even normal June levels near the venue, with walkable rooms selling out rather than discounting.
How early should I book hotels for VivaTech?
Three to six months ahead for anything walkable; the intersection of peak season and 180,000 attendees leaves little late inventory. Booking refundable early and optimising later is the standard approach.
Which airport do I fly into for VivaTech?

Can the public attend VivaTech?
