London Film & Comic Con, known to fans as LFCC, returns to Olympia London on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August 2027. Run by Showmasters, it is a two day comic con with stars from film and TV, comic creators, professional photo shoots, autograph sessions, stage talks, a Cosplay Zone and hundreds of stalls of film and TV memorabilia, and the organiser says its flagship show drew more than 98,000 visitors in July 2018. It is a public fan event: anyone with a ticket can go, families included, while traders and their teams set up the day before and stay for both days. Olympia sits on Hammersmith Road in Kensington, west London, opposite Kensington (Olympia) station, so Kensington, Hammersmith, Earl's Court and Shepherd's Bush are the most practical areas for LFCC hotels, and central London works if you want an evening in the West End. This page shows live hotel rates near Olympia for your dates. Show tickets, photo shoots and autographs are bought from the organiser and are separate from your hotel booking.

How do you get to London Film & Comic Con (LFCC)?

From London Heathrow (LHR)

  • Heathrow describes the Piccadilly line as the most cost-effective rail route into London: trains stop at all Heathrow terminals and the airport puts the journey to central London at about 50 minutes
  • For Olympia, the venue suggests taking the Piccadilly line to Barons Court or Hammersmith; Olympia puts Barons Court at a 9 minute walk, and Hammersmith at 5 minutes by bus or a 15 minute walk
  • Heathrow says Piccadilly line trains run between 05:00 and 23:30, with the Night Tube running all night on Fridays and Saturdays, though not from Terminal 4
  • Landing late, the N9 night bus runs every 30 minutes from Terminal 5 and Heathrow Central bus station, according to the airport, and the N9 is one of the night routes the organiser lists as stopping near Olympia

By rail and from elsewhere in the UK

  • Kensington (Olympia) station is right next to the venue: the organiser says the hall is opposite the station on Hammersmith Road and the entrance is directly opposite the station exit
  • The station is served by the London Overground Mildmay line and Southern; Olympia says frequent Mildmay line trains run between Stratford and Clapham Junction, and Southern runs to Watford Junction
  • Arriving at a London terminal from elsewhere in the UK, connect to Clapham Junction, Shepherd's Bush, West Brompton or Earls Court for the short hop to Kensington (Olympia), and check National Rail for the timetable on the day
  • Driving is not the easy option: the organiser says Olympia currently has limited parking options due to building works, and the venue is inside London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ)

How do you get around during London Film & Comic Con (LFCC)?

Getting to Olympia at the weekend

  • LFCC runs on a Saturday and Sunday, and Olympia says the District line runs between Earls Court and Kensington (Olympia) on weekends, so check TfL before you travel
  • From the Central line, change at Shepherd's Bush for a 2 minute Overground train to Kensington (Olympia), according to the venue
  • On foot, Olympia puts West Kensington at a 12 minute walk or a 4 minute bus ride and Barons Court at a 9 minute walk; High Street Kensington is a 4 minute bus ride or a 12 minute walk
  • Olympia asks visitors to check the TfL status page for the latest service updates before setting off

Buses and late nights

  • Bus routes 9, 23, 27, 28, 49 and 391 all stop a very short walk from the venue, according to the organiser
  • Route 9 runs to Aldwych and route 23 to Westbourne Park, handy if you stay further into central London
  • Night buses N9, N23, N27 and N28 also stop nearby, useful after a long Saturday that runs until 19:00
  • A contactless bank card or an Oyster card works on the Tube, Overground and buses, so you do not need to buy a ticket for every trip

Do you need a visa for London Film & Comic Con (LFCC)?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • British and Irish passport holders do not need an ETA or a visa
  • Most visitors who do not need a visa, including those from Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia, need a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before they travel
  • An ETA costs £20 and lets you visit the UK for up to six months; apply only through GOV.UK, as other websites may charge more
  • Each person travelling needs their own ETA, including babies and children, and you can apply for other people in your group

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals who are not eligible for an ETA need a Standard Visitor visa to come to LFCC; check your nationality on GOV.UK
  • A Standard Visitor visa costs £135 for up to six months, and the earliest you can apply is three months before you travel
  • Coming to the show as a fan is tourism; overseas traders who want to sell from a pitch should read the GOV.UK visitor rules first, which allow visitors to attend trade fairs to promote a business but not to sell things

Documents to carry

  • A passport valid for your whole stay, the same one you used for your ETA or visa
  • Your LFCC e-tickets, printed or on your phone, plus any photo shoot, talk or Diamond Pass tickets, and your hotel booking
  • Return travel details, in case the Border Force officer asks about your visit

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements on GOV.UK before you book.

First time at London Film & Comic Con (LFCC)?

  • Opening times are 9am to 7pm on Saturday 14 August and 9am to 6pm on Sunday 15 August 2027, and tickets are sold through the organiser's Eventbrite shop as e-tickets you can print or show on your phone
  • When we checked in November 2026, the organiser's ticket page listed adult entry at £30 for Saturday, £28 for Sunday and £52 for the weekend, children aged 4 to 12 from £22, plus booking fees and a £1 charge per ticket; under 4s go free with a paying adult
  • Photo shoots, paid talks and Diamond Passes do not include entry, so you need an entry ticket as well; the organiser warns that late entry tickets do not suit anyone with photo shoots or paid talks, as these can be scheduled at any time of day
  • Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable unless the event is cancelled, and guests appear subject to work commitments, so check which day your favourite guest is attending before you book
  • The organiser says the queueing hall opens at 7am so tickets can be scanned and bags checked before doors open, and entrance instructions are sent about a week before the show

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • Bring cash: the organiser says Olympia's ATM can have long queues and run out, autograph desks take card payments only through vouchers bought at the sales desk, and not every trader takes cards
  • Weekend ticket holders get a wristband that allows re-entry, and day ticket holders can get a hand stamp to come back in, so a hotel nearby makes a midday break easy
  • Traders must set up on the day before the show opens and are expected to stay for both days, so exhibitor teams usually need a Friday night as well as Saturday
