NAB Show 2027 fills the Las Vegas Convention Center from 4–7 April, the annual moment when the broadcast, streaming and content-creation world converges on Las Vegas. Around 58,000 media and entertainment professionals attend — broadcast engineers, cinematographers, post-production specialists, streaming executives and creators — walking exhibits that sprawl across the West, North and Central halls. Unlike leisure trips to Las Vegas, NAB demand concentrates on hotels with practical access to the LVCC: the Convention Center District properties like the Westgate sell out first because attendees can walk in, followed by the mid-Strip resorts on the monorail line. April convention season keeps citywide occupancy high even before NAB lands. This page brings together the transport realities — monorail, Vegas Loop, rideshare pickup rules — with US entry requirements and live, bookable rates near the Las Vegas Convention Center for the 2027 dates.

Popular areas for attendees: Las Vegas Strip · Convention Center District · Downtown Las Vegas.

  • Hotels ordered by real convenience to the LVCC — walkable Convention Center District first, then monorail-served Strip resorts
  • Live 4–5 star rates for 4–7 April 2027, drawn from live supplier inventory rather than static estimates
  • Free-cancellation rates prioritised, handy while conference passes and flight approvals are pending
  • Instant tax invoice for clean reconciliation of resort fees and room charges

Getting there

From Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)

  • The airport is only about 6 km from the LVCC — 10–20 minutes by taxi or rideshare depending on Strip traffic
  • Rideshare pickups are at designated garage areas (Terminal 1 parking level 2, Terminal 3 valet); follow the signs rather than the taxi queue
  • Taxis are metered and queues move fast, but during show opening mornings expect a wait on the airport side
  • RTC public buses connect the airport to the Strip and downtown cheaply, but with luggage most attendees find them slow for the LVCC

By road from Southern California and the region

  • Driving from Los Angeles takes roughly 4–5 hours via I-15, longer on Sunday afternoons when weekend traffic returns westbound
  • The LVCC has large paid parking lots, though they fill early on show days — arrive before the 9am keynote crush
  • Regional attendees also fly into LAS from Phoenix, Salt Lake City and the Bay Area on frequent short-haul routes
  • If you drive, a mid-Strip hotel with parking plus the monorail can be easier than parking at the venue daily

Getting around during NAB Show

Getting to the Las Vegas Convention Center daily

  • The Las Vegas Monorail runs from mid-Strip resorts to its Convention Center station in minutes, with extended hours during major shows
  • The free Vegas Loop (Tesla-based tunnels) shuttles attendees between the West, Central and South Hall stations across the LVCC campus
  • Staying at the Westgate or in the Convention Center District means walking to the halls and skipping transit altogether
  • Rideshare surge pricing spikes at show close around 5–6pm; leaving 30 minutes earlier or later saves real money

Around Las Vegas

  • Distances on the Strip deceive — blocks are enormous, so use the monorail, RTC Deuce bus or resort trams rather than assuming you can walk
  • The monorail sells single, day and multi-day passes; a show-length pass usually pays for itself by day two
  • Evening NAB networking clusters at mid-Strip resorts and the Wynn/Encore end; factor 20–30 minutes for any cross-Strip journey
  • April weather is warm (mid-20s °C) and dry — comfortable for short walks, but the sun is stronger than it feels

Visa & entry

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • Citizens of 40+ Visa Waiver Program countries — most of Europe plus the UK, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Chile and Qatar — can attend on an approved ESTA for stays up to 90 days
  • ESTA costs around US$40, is valid two years, and approval usually lands within a day — but apply at least 72 hours before departure
  • Canadian citizens do not need a visa or ESTA for short business visits arriving by air

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of India, China, Brazil, South Africa, Nigeria and most other non-VWP countries need a B-1/B-2 visitor visa with an in-person consular interview
  • US visa interview wait times can stretch to many months at busy posts — start the process as soon as you commit to NAB, ideally 6+ months out

Documents to carry

  • Passport valid for your entire stay (six-month validity recommended), plus printed ESTA or visa details
  • NAB Show registration confirmation and evidence of your professional purpose — CBP officers routinely ask business visitors what event they are attending
  • Return or onward ticket and your hotel confirmation for the inspection interview

US entry fees and processing rules have changed several times recently, so confirm current requirements on official US government sites or with your local US embassy before booking.

First time at NAB Show?

  • Register early and use the self-serve badge pickup points — LVCC registration queues on the opening Sunday and Monday morning are long
  • Plan by hall: exhibit categories are grouped across the West, North and Central halls, and walking between them mid-day eats your schedule — the free Vegas Loop is the fast way across campus
  • Arrive Saturday if you have conference sessions, which begin before the exhibit floor opens on Sunday 4 April
  • Convention Center District hotels (Westgate and neighbours) sell out first — book those before defaulting to the Strip
  • Bring comfortable shoes and a refillable water bottle; the LVCC campus covers roughly 200 acres and Nevada air is bone dry

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • The final day is the quietest on the floor — ideal for hands-on demo time with kit that had hour-long waits on Monday
  • Real networking happens at the evening industry mixers in mid-Strip resort bars, not on the floor; the monorail back from the LVCC keeps you out of surge pricing
  • Skip the longest hall food lines by eating before noon or after 1.30pm, or walk to the Westgate's food options next door
  • Ride the Vegas Loop once early in the week to learn the station locations — during peak moves it beats walking between West and Central halls by 15 minutes

NAB Show travel FAQs

Where should I stay for NAB Show?

The Convention Center District — the Westgate is effectively attached to the campus — is the most convenient. Mid-Strip resorts on the monorail line (Harrah's, Flamingo, Horseshoe area) balance evening options with an easy commute, and downtown works for value if you accept a 15-minute drive.

How much do hotels cost during NAB Show?

Las Vegas rates swing with the convention calendar, and NAB is one of the city's larger shows — expect rooms near the LVCC and mid-Strip to run well above normal midweek rates, often two times or more, plus resort fees. Sunday and Monday nights are the priciest.

How early should I book hotels for NAB Show?

Three to six months ahead is the safe window for walkable and monorail-adjacent hotels; the Convention Center District goes first. Free-cancellation rates let you lock early and adjust when your session schedule firms up.

Which airport do I fly into for NAB Show?

Harry Reid International (LAS) — it is the only commercial airport in the city and sits about 6 km from the Las Vegas Convention Center, so transfers are a 10–20 minute taxi or rideshare.

Do I need the conference pass or just an exhibits pass for NAB?

It depends on your goals: exhibits-level badges cover the show floor across all halls, while the paid conference programme adds sessions and workshops that start a day before the floor opens. Most first-timers underestimate the floor — it can genuinely fill all four days.
