26 Apr – 29 Apr 2027 Messe München 75,000+ attendees
transport logistic 2027 returns to Messe München from 26 to 29 April, and for four days the world's freight, rail, maritime, air cargo and supply-chain software industries essentially relocate to Munich. The biennial fair draws upwards of 75,000 trade visitors and well over 2,000 exhibitors, from global forwarders and port authorities to telematics start-ups, with the co-located air cargo Europe adding the airfreight community to the mix. Because the fairgrounds sit in Messestadt Riem on the eastern edge of the city, the small pool of hotels within walking distance of the halls is claimed months out, and city-centre properties along the U2 line follow soon after. Munich hotel rates during major Messe weeks are among the steepest in Germany, so timing matters. This page shows live, bookable rates for hotels sorted by real distance to Messe München, so you can compare Riem, Bogenhausen and Altstadt options in one view.

Messestadt Riem is the practical choice, with a handful of hotels within walking distance of the halls. If those are gone, Bogenhausen and the Ostbahnhof area put you on the eastern side of the city with a short U-Bahn ride, while Altstadt-Lehel gives you central Munich with a direct 20-minute U2 connection.
Munich hotel pricing is aggressively demand-driven, and big Messe weeks routinely push rates to two or three times normal levels, especially near the fairground. Central hotels rise too, but less sharply than Riem properties.
Exhibitors typically lock in rooms six to nine months out, and walkable Riem hotels sell out first. Booking with free cancellation as soon as the dates are confirmed is the sensible approach; waiting past January for an April fair usually means paying more for something further away.
Munich Airport (MUC) is the only realistic option, 28 km northeast of the city with S-Bahn links into town and a 30-45 minute taxi run to the fairground. There is no need to consider alternatives unless fares are extreme.
No, it is biennial, held in odd years at Messe München; the 2027 edition runs 26-29 April. The co-located air cargo Europe conference and exhibition takes place at the same time, so the airfreight community attends in force.
