World Ag Expo 2027 runs from 9 to 11 February at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California, the outdoor farm show the organiser says draws an average of 100,000 visitors from more than 70 countries. The accommodation challenge is simple: Tulare is a small Central Valley city, and its own hotels cannot absorb a crowd that size. The organiser warns that rooms fill quickly around show dates and that there are no special room blocks, so most visitors widen the search early. Tulare hotels for World Ag Expo go first, then Visalia, a larger city a short drive east, followed by Hanford to the west and Fresno, about 45 miles north, which has the most choice and the nearest major airport. This page shows live hotel rates near the venue for your dates, so you can compare a short drive from Tulare with a wider pick of world ag expo hotels in Visalia or Fresno.

How do you get to World Ag Expo?

Flying in

  • Fresno Yosemite International (FAT) is the closest major airport; the organiser puts it about 45 miles from Tulare
  • Meadows Field in Bakersfield (BFL) is about 65 miles south, while Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) are roughly 175 and 230 miles away, a long drive after a flight
  • Plan on hiring a car: the show is in open farmland and you will want flexibility between your hotel, the grounds and any evening events
  • The organiser advises allowing extra time for traffic and weather, and February tule fog in the Central Valley can slow early-morning driving

Driving to the International Agri-Center

  • The International Agri-Center is on the south side of Tulare at 4500 South Laspina Street, close to State Route 99
  • On-site parking is free, but expect queues at the gates around opening time each morning
  • From Visalia and Hanford you approach on local highways and join the same show traffic as Tulare visitors, so leave early on day one
  • From Fresno it is a straight run south on Highway 99; build in time for slow traffic near the Tulare exits on show mornings

How do you get around during World Ag Expo?

Park & Ride and getting onto the grounds

  • The organiser runs a free Park & Ride from 07:00 to 18:00, with shuttles from Tulare every 15 to 20 minutes
  • Listed pick-up points include the Tulare Outlet Mall, Tulare Airport, the Tulare County Fairgrounds and Mid-Valley Cotton Gin in Tulare, the Center for Art, Culture and History in Exeter, and Plaza Park in Visalia
  • Using Park & Ride from your hotel town avoids the slowest part of the morning queue into the show car parks
  • Check the 2027 shuttle details on the organiser site before you travel, as pick-up points can change between editions

Around the show grounds

  • The exhibits spread across 2.6 million square feet, much of it outdoors, so wear sturdy shoes and dress for anything from a cold, foggy morning to a mild afternoon
  • Trams run around the grounds; the stops are marked on the show map
  • Courtesy shuttles can also be requested at the information booths if you need help getting between areas
  • Show hours are 09:00 to 17:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday and 09:00 to 16:00 on Thursday (Pacific time)

Do you need a visa for World Ag Expo?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • Citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries, including the UK, Ireland, most EU states, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, can attend a trade show for up to 90 days with an approved ESTA instead of a visa
  • Apply for ESTA online through the official US government site well before travel; it is usually decided within 72 hours and stays valid for two years or until your passport expires
  • Canadian citizens do not need a visa or ESTA for a short business visit like this one

eVisa / visa required

  • Most other nationalities, including India, China, Brazil, Mexico and South Africa, need a B-1/B-2 visitor visa, which involves an interview at a US embassy or consulate
  • Interview waiting times vary a lot by country and can run to months, so start as soon as you decide to attend World Ag Expo
  • If you have been refused an ESTA or are not eligible for one, you must apply for a visa instead; some nationalities also face extra US entry restrictions, so check before booking

Documents to carry

  • International visitors can buy the organiser's ticket and invitation letter package, which bundles three-day admission with a personalised invitation letter; the organiser states these sales are non-refundable
  • Carry your invitation letter or ticket confirmation, return travel details and hotel booking, as US border officers often ask about the purpose of your trip and where you are staying
  • Visa applicants should keep their employer letter and supporting documents in hand luggage

Entry rules change often; check current requirements on official US government sources or with your nearest US embassy before you travel.

First time at World Ag Expo?

  • Book accommodation as soon as your dates are fixed; with no special room blocks and limited stock in Tulare, the nearest rooms are often the first to go
  • Decide whether you value a short drive or more choice: Tulare is closest, Visalia offers more hotels and restaurants, and Fresno suits those flying into FAT
  • Use the show map to plan your day by area, since the grounds are large and much of the walking is outdoors
  • Pets and comfort animals are not allowed on the grounds, so make arrangements before you set off
  • Children aged 6 and under get in free if you are bringing family; check the current adult ticket price on the organiser site

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • International visitors can use the International Business Center, where the organiser lists free work stations, power and meeting rooms
  • The organiser lists an international attendee reception on the Wednesday afternoon of the show, a useful networking slot if you are visiting from abroad
  • If you stay in Visalia or Hanford, ask whether colleagues are driving the same way and share a car to the Park & Ride rather than queuing at the gates separately
