Getting to Anaheim Convention Center
The Anaheim Convention Center sits at 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802. The Metrolink page for the venue calls it the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast, and the official brochure puts the whole complex at 1.8 million square feet on 53 acres. That scale matters for planning, because once you arrive you may still have a real walk between a hotel, a parking structure and your hall.
Most visitors drive. The directions published by WonderCon, which is held here, tell drivers coming from the north to take Interstate 5 south and exit at Harbor Boulevard. Drivers coming from the south take Interstate 5 north and exit at Katella Avenue and Disney Way, then follow Katella east to Harbor Boulevard. Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue are the two streets you will use most around the campus, so keep them in mind when you set your navigation app.
If you are flying in, the brochure says John Wayne Airport, Orange County (SNA) is the closest airport, about 13 miles away, and that four airports are within an hour's drive. Visit Anaheim lists SNA, Long Beach Airport (LGB), Ontario (ONT) and Los Angeles International (LAX) as the airports that serve the city. Ride share and taxis are the simplest way from any of them to the venue.
By rail, the Metrolink page for the venue gives Anaheim ARTIC as the nearest station. ARTIC is the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, where Visit Anaheim says you can reach both the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and Metrolink. From ARTIC, Metrolink says OC Bus Route 553 runs to the convention center, and also lists Uber, Lyft or a taxi straight from the station. Visit Anaheim separately names OC Bus Route 43 on Harbor Boulevard and Route 50 on Katella Avenue as lines with direct access to the convention center and ARTIC, and OCTA's own Route 50 map marks both the Anaheim Convention Center and ARTIC as stops on that line.
One important change for anyone using an older guide: Anaheim Resort Transportation, known as ART, stopped all service on March 31, 2026. The operator's website says so plainly. Older pages that tell you to catch ART routes 4, 5, 9 or 18 to the convention center are now out of date. OC Bus and your hotel's own shuttle, if it has one, are what remain, so check current OC Bus timetables before you rely on a bus connection.
Entrances and halls at Anaheim Convention Center
The campus is built around plazas and several separate buildings, so it helps to know the pieces. The official brochure lists five exhibit halls, Hall A to Hall E, with 813,607 square feet between them. Hall A is 145,841 square feet, Hall B is 147,335, Hall C is 155,673, Hall D is the largest at 221,284, and Hall E is 143,474 with a lower ceiling than the others at 13 feet 8 inches.
Beyond the halls there are three ballrooms totaling 238,000 square feet, 99 meeting rooms, and the Arena. The Arena is the original mid century domed building, with a flat floor of 28,000 square feet and stadium seating for up to 7,500. In 2017 the venue added ACC North, which the brochure describes as 100,000 square feet of carpeted space on the 100 level and another 100,000 square feet of column free space on the 200 level, with direct access to a balcony of more than 10,000 square feet. Visit Anaheim calls that balcony the Katella Terrace and says it overlooks Katella Avenue.
The Grand Plaza is the main front door of the campus. The brochure places it in front of the convention center between the Hilton Anaheim and the Anaheim Marriott, with fountains and palm and orange trees. The Arena Plaza sits next to the Arena, and the brochure's campus map also marks a Transit Plaza, Palm Courts on the north and south sides, Convention Way, Hotel Way, West Street and Harbor Boulevard.
Entrances and registration points change by show, so always read your own event's map. As examples from recent shows, WonderCon told attendees to use the information desk in Lobby B and C or the Ground Floor North Lobby, and said Visit Anaheim concierge desks are on the ACC North Plaza level and in the main lobby. The NAMM Show's 2025 map marked a Show Entrance, an Exhibitor Only entrance and an After Hours entrance, with badge pickup in front of the building at the ACC Box Office, and a help desk in Lobby C. The venue's concierge kiosk, called Dine Shop Play, is in the pre function space of the exhibit halls.
Exhibitors should note that the brochure says all halls are directly accessible from the pre function lobbies, and that the venue offers free wireless internet with a 10 GB connection provided by Smart City Networks. Plan your loading and booth set up around the dock schedule your show organizer gives you, because the loading docks are separate from the visitor entrances.
Last trains and getting back late
In the United States, getting home late from a convention usually means a mix of rail, buses, ride share and your hotel shuttle, and in Anaheim the picture changed in 2026. ART, the resort area bus system that used to run past the convention center, ended on March 31, 2026, according to the operator's website. Coverage from WDW News Today described it as a shift toward a more fragmented set of public buses, hotel shuttles and Disney operated transport.
We are not stating a last train or last bus time here, because we did not read one on an official timetable for the days you will travel. Metrolink serves ARTIC on the Orange County Line, and the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner also calls there, so check the current timetable of the operator you plan to use and the time of your last departure before you commit to a late finish. OC Bus Route 50 and Route 553 both serve ARTIC according to OCTA's station list, so check the OC Bus timetable for the last run on the day you travel.
If you are staying within a few blocks, walking back is the simplest late night plan. The brochure says 11 hotels with 4,873 rooms are within 100 yards of the convention center, and the walking map used by the California School Boards Association shows the Hilton and Marriott about a tenth of a mile from ACC North. The streets around Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue are busy, so use the sidewalks and crossings.
For longer trips back to Los Angeles, Long Beach or an airport, ride share is the practical option. The NAMM Show map for 2025 marked a Guest Drop and Pickup and Ride Share area at the front of the campus and another Rideshare point on Convention Way, but drop off points are set by each show, so check your event's map.
A hotel run option also exists. Mickey Visit reported in October 2026 that the Anaheim Resort Campus Shuttle, operated by HMR Transportation, serves hotels mainly near the convention center. It named the Hilton Anaheim, Anaheim Marriott, Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort, Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Resort and Convention Center, Hotel Lulu and DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort. That article is about reaching the theme parks, so ask your hotel whether its shuttle also fits your convention hours.
Parking at Anaheim Convention Center
Parking is on site and managed by the venue, but it is not unlimited. WonderCon's parking page says spaces are first come, first served and that the lots fill up quickly. There is no reserved or valet parking, overnight parking is prohibited, and the ticket is valid for one entry only, so you cannot leave and come back on the same ticket. We are not quoting rates here because they change by event, so check your show's parking page for the current fee.
The NAMM Show's 2025 map shows where the main structures are. Car Park 1 is reached from Katella Avenue and sits on the ACC North side near the Hilton parking. Car Parks 4 and 5 are reached from West Street. The same map marks a separate Preferred Exhibitor and Retailer Parking area, and NAMM's parking page says the Toy Story lot is reached from Harbor Boulevard. Accessible and electric vehicle charging spaces are limited, and WonderCon says they are in Car Park 4 and Car Park 1 on a first come basis.
Payment is by card or mobile wallet. WonderCon's page lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Google Pay and Apple Pay, and says no cash is accepted. Oversized vehicles, defined as over 6 feet 8 inches tall or over 19 feet long, are handled at off site lots, so tell your show organizer in advance if you are bringing a large van or truck.
When the on site lots fill, shows direct drivers to nearby overflow lots. For WonderCon 2026 these were the Toy Story lot, entered from Harbor Boulevard across from Convention Way, and the GardenWalk lot, entered from Katella Avenue or Disney Way. GardenWalk parkers collected a parking coupon from a show desk to get the convention rate on exit. Treat that as an example of how overflow works, not a promise for your event, because each show sets its own arrangement.
Closing times vary. NAMM stated that its lots close at 2 am and that any car left after that is cited or towed, while WonderCon said parking is allowed through midnight. The Visit Anaheim venue page links a Convention Parking Map, which is worth opening before you drive in. If you are staying in a hotel on the campus, ask the hotel about its own parking and whether it is simpler to leave the car and walk.
Which side of Anaheim Convention Center to stay on
The campus map in the official brochure makes the choice easier. Katella Avenue runs along the top of the map, with the Westin Anaheim Resort and the Arena near it and ACC North facing the avenue. The Hilton Anaheim and the Anaheim Marriott sit on either side of the Grand Plaza at the front of the main building. The Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, the Clarion, the Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites are drawn toward the eastern and southern parts of the campus, around Hotel Way, Convention Way and Harbor Boulevard.
If you want to leave your hotel and be in the hall without crossing a major street, choose the Hilton or Marriott side. Visit Anaheim says four hotels surround the convention center, the Anaheim Marriott, Hilton Anaheim, Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort and The Westin Anaheim Resort, with over 3,700 rooms between them. The brochure counts 3,705 rooms across those four.
If budget matters more than being on the plaza, the Harbor Boulevard strip east of the campus has a run of select service hotels. OpenStreetMap lists the Courtyard Anaheim Resort and Convention Center, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Homewood Suites, and DoubleTree Suites along South Harbor Boulevard, between roughly 1800 and 2085 South Harbor. The California School Boards Association walking map puts Hyatt House about 0.2 miles from ACC North, Hyatt Place about 0.5 and the DoubleTree Suites about 0.8.
A west side option exists too. The same walking map puts the Anaheim Desert Palms Hotel and Suites about 0.2 miles away and Cortona Inn and Suites about 0.5. For anything that is not on those two sources, treat distances as approximate and check a map.
Our advice: for a trade show where you will be on your feet all day, pay attention to which hall you will be in and choose the side nearest to it. For a short stay with a morning start, being on the Grand Plaza beats a cheaper room a mile away. For a team that will travel together, a group of rooms on one side saves time. Visit Anaheim also notes that hotels near the convention center tend to be a little less expensive than those right beside the theme parks.
Budget hotel brands near Anaheim Convention Center: what we could confirm
People searching for cheap hotels near the Anaheim Convention Center are usually looking for a lower priced room within an easy walk or a short ride. We do not quote rates on this page because they move with the event calendar. What we can do is point you to the economy and select service names that sit near the campus, so you can compare prices on the booking page.
Visit Anaheim says hotels near the convention center tend to be a little less expensive than those near the theme parks and beaches, and that they sit near restaurants suited to casual lunches. Within that area, the California School Boards Association walking map lists several smaller properties: Anaheim Desert Palms Hotel and Suites at about 0.2 miles from ACC North, Anaheim Portofino Inn and Suites about 0.3, Cortona Inn and Suites about 0.5, and Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort about 0.6.
On the chain side, the same map lists Hyatt House at 0.2 miles, SpringHill Suites by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott at 0.3 each, and Hyatt Place at 0.5. OpenStreetMap also lists a Courtyard, Homewood Suites, a Best Western Plus, a Ramada and a Hampton Inn and Suites on or near Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue. The Hampton Inn and Suites at 100 West Katella Avenue is a little further east, roughly 0.8 miles in a straight line from the convention center's map point.
We have not confirmed the current price level of any of these, and we are not claiming one is cheaper than another. The practical way to find a good price is to compare the same dates across three or four of them. Mid week trade shows in a busy month push prices up everywhere, so book early if you know your dates.
If you are travelling as a group or a company, hotels can be booked for a team with a company invoice, and a custom quote is available. That is often easier than booking rooms one by one when everyone is going to the same show.
How close are the hotels to Anaheim Convention Center on foot?
Searchers asking for hotels within walking distance of the Anaheim Convention Center are in the right place, because this is one of the most walkable convention districts in California. The official brochure says there are 11 hotels with 4,873 rooms within 100 yards of the convention center, and that the whole Anaheim Resort district is designed so exhibitors and attendees can walk to work, stay and play.
The closest are the Hilton Anaheim and the Anaheim Marriott. WonderCon's directions describe the convention center as adjacent to the Hilton Anaheim, at 0.02 miles. The California School Boards Association walking map, which measures from ACC North, lists the Anaheim Marriott and the Hilton Anaheim at 0.1 miles each. The brochure places the Grand Plaza between the two, so you walk out of the lobby and across the plaza.
Next are the properties at about 0.2 to 0.3 miles from ACC North on that map: Anaheim Desert Palms Hotel and Suites and Hyatt House at 0.2; Anaheim Portofino Inn and Suites, SpringHill Suites, Residence Inn and The Westin Anaheim Resort at 0.3. Hotel Lulu is listed at 0.4. Cortona Inn and Suites and Hyatt Place are at 0.5, Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort at 0.6 and DoubleTree Suites by Hilton at 0.8. The Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort is part of the four hotel campus in the official brochure.
The map lists Hyatt Regency Orange County at 1.4 miles, which is a drive rather than a walk. These figures come from a conference walking map for a specific event, so use them as a guide and check a map for your own route. We have not stated walking minutes, because we did not find an official time.
Where you enter matters too. If your hall is in ACC North, the hotels on the Katella side may be closer than the Grand Plaza ones. If you are in Hall D or E, the main building matters more. A quick look at your event's floor plan will tell you which side to favour.
Upmarket hotels near Anaheim Convention Center: what we could confirm
Searchers looking for the best hotels near the Anaheim Convention Center usually mean the four large hotels that surround it. Visit Anaheim describes them as the Anaheim Marriott, Hilton Anaheim, Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort and The Westin Anaheim Resort, and the brochure gives them a combined 3,705 rooms and 317,000 square feet of function space, recently renovated at the time of printing.
The Hilton Anaheim and Anaheim Marriott are the two on the Grand Plaza. They are the nearest to the main entrance and are where many exhibitors and speakers stay when a show uses a host hotel; the California School Boards Association used the Anaheim Marriott as its host hotel for its conference. The Westin Anaheim Resort and the Sheraton Park Hotel are on the other sides of the campus and are both within a few blocks.
Other well known names nearby include Hotel Lulu, the Hyatt Regency Orange County and, closer to the parks, the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort. The walking map puts the Hyatt Regency at 1.4 miles from ACC North, so it is a drive. OpenStreetMap lists the JW Marriott at 1775 South Clementine Street, which is east of Harbor Boulevard, again beyond comfortable walking for most people with luggage or exhibit materials.
We have not ranked these by guest reviews, because we did not read review scores from a primary source. If you want a quiet room, ask for one away from Katella Avenue, which is a busy road. If you are attending a show with early opening hours, being on the Grand Plaza saves you a lot of time in the morning. If you are in town for the theme parks as well, Visit Anaheim says the Katella Terrace at ACC North has nightly views of the Disneyland Resort fireworks.
Booking as a team? Hotels can be booked for a team with a company invoice, and a custom quote is available if you are bringing a group to the same event.
Eating and evenings near Anaheim Convention Center
You do not have to leave the building to eat. The brochure says the venue offers catering and food at each exhibit hall and lobby, and runs local food truck events on the plaza with up to 27 chef owned food trucks. Coffee outlets named on the brochure's level one plan include Java City and Eco Grounds. Menus and opening hours depend on the show, so look at your event's information.
For something more relaxed, the brochure says concerts at the House of Blues Anaheim, entertainment at Downtown Disney, shopping at Anaheim GardenWalk, rooftop lounge happy hours, and the Anaheim Packing District and Downtown Anaheim are all part of the area. Visit Anaheim calls Anaheim GardenWalk an outdoor dining, entertainment and shopping destination within walking distance of the convention center, and says hotels near the center are close to restaurants suited to casual and business lunches.
The brochure also describes the venue's Dine Shop Play concierge kiosk at the pre function space of the exhibit halls, which presents deals on the Attendee Perks Pass for restaurants, shopping and experiences near the convention center. Ask whether your show participates.
Evenings are easy if you stay on the campus. The Katella Terrace at ACC North overlooks Katella Avenue, and Visit Anaheim says it offers nightly views of the Disneyland Resort fireworks. The Grand Plaza is a pleasant place to sit after the hall closes, with fountains and trees according to the brochure.
If you want to go further, remember that the old ART buses no longer run, so plan your return journey in advance. A ride share to the Anaheim Packing District or Downtown Anaheim is short, and the OC Bus network, including Route 50 on Katella Avenue, connects several of these areas, but check timetables for late hours.
Tips for exhibitors and visitors
Read your show's own visitor guide first. Parking lots, entrances, badge pickup and drop off points all change from event to event, as the NAMM Show and WonderCon pages show. Use the venue and hotel details here as a framework, then follow the instructions from your organizer.
Arrive early on the first day. WonderCon warned that the lots fill quickly, and NAMM told drivers that lots close at 2 am. Aim to park before the morning rush, and keep your parking ticket and payment card handy, because tickets are single entry and cash is not accepted at the lots described by WonderCon.
If you are exhibiting, ask your organizer which hall and which dock you will use. The halls range from about 143,000 to 221,000 square feet, so a booth in Hall D can be a long walk from a car park on the opposite side. Wear comfortable shoes. The venue offers free wireless internet in public areas according to the brochure, but exhibitors who need dependable connections for payments or live demos should order a dedicated line through the venue's service provider.
If you plan to use public transport, remember that ART ended on March 31, 2026. Metrolink and the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner serve ARTIC, and OC Bus runs on Katella Avenue and Harbor Boulevard, but check the current timetable for the day you travel. Ride share is the fallback.
Book your hotel early for the biggest shows. The venue hosts NAMM in January, Natural Products Expo West and WonderCon in March, CDA Presents in May and other large events during the year, and hotels near the campus fill. For a team, hotels can be booked with a company invoice, and a custom quote is available. Tell us the dates, the number of rooms and the show, and we will help with the details.
