Overview

About Busch Stadium

Busch Stadium is the downtown ballpark of the St. Louis Cardinals, with a seating capacity of 44,383. The Busch Stadium seating map has four seating levels: the Field Level (100s), the Loge and Redbird Club level (200s), the Pavilion level (300s) and the Terrace level (400s). Home plate sits in the south west corner of the ballpark, with the Cardinals dugout on the first base side and the visitors' dugout on the third base side. The seats closest to the plate are the CommunityAmerica Cardinals Club (field sections 1 to 8) and the Cardinals Infield and Home Boxes (141 to 148). Along the lines, the Cardinals Dugout Box and 1st Base Field Box (135 to 140) face the Visitors Infield Box and 3rd Base Field Box (156 to 165). The outfield has bleachers in right field (101 to 111) and left centre (189 to 197), plus the social Budweiser Terrace in right field, open to every ticket holder with no assigned seats. Busch Stadium seats are all open-air, and from behind home plate you look out across the outfield towards downtown and the Gateway Arch.

Designed by HOK Sport (now Populous) and opened on 10 April 2006 on part of the footprint of the old Busch Memorial Stadium, the ballpark is an open-air, brick and steel design. The Gate 3 entrance is spanned by a bridge that recalls the Eads Bridge, and the open outfield frames views of the downtown skyline and the Gateway Arch. LED lights capable of light shows were added in 2019, along with the Budweiser Terrace in the right field upper deck.

Seat numbers

How do Busch Stadium seat numbers work?

The first digit of a section number is the seating level: 100s at field level, 200s on the Loge and Redbird Club level, 300s on the Pavilion level and 400s on the Terrace level. On the Field Level the numbers start in the right field bleachers (101 to 111), continue round the right field corner (127 to 134), along the first base line (135 to 140), behind home plate (141 to 151), up the third base line (152 to 165) and into left field (166 to 172), with the left centre bleachers numbered 189 to 197. The upper levels follow the same pattern, so 245, 344 and 445 all sit behind home plate. The CommunityAmerica Cardinals Club seats in front of the Field Level behind the plate are numbered 1 to 8. Your ticket shows section, row and seat.

Reading a ticket: Section 147: Field Level, in the Cardinals Home Box directly behind home plate, between the Cardinals Club seats in front and the 200 Level Redbird Club above.

Concerts

Busch Stadium floor plan for concerts

For concerts the stage and a floor area are built on the field. Layouts change by tour, so always check the seating chart for your show before you buy.

The floor: The field is sold as floor tickets, reserved or general admission depending on the show.
