The Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, long known as the San Paolo, holds around 54,000 and is the fortress of SSC Napoli. The two ends behind the goals — Curva A and Curva B — are where the ultras and the loudest singing live, while the Distinti curve wrap round the corners and the Tribuna Posillipo and Tribuna Nisida form the covered main sides. An athletics track keeps every seat a little back from the pitch, and the best central views come from the upper Tribuna Posillipo. The ground was rededicated to Maradona days after his death in November 2020.
A large two-tier concrete bowl in the Fuorigrotta district, renamed in 2020 in memory of Diego Maradona. It retains an athletics track and a partial roof over the upper Tribuna, and the steep, tightly packed curve generate one of Serie A’s most intense atmospheres.

The Maradona keeps in-ground catering minimal: kiosks open before kick-off and at half-time selling beer and soft drinks, with little in the way of food on the concourses. Eating is done outside — street vendors around the ground sell pizza sandwiches and pasta omelettes, and the Fuorigrotta district is full of places to eat and drink, including the Napoli-shrine Caffetteria degli Azzurri.
Stadium rules ban bottles, cans and glass containers — drinks must be decanted into plastic or paper cups — and drinks over 5% alcohol are prohibited outside specifically authorised areas.

Getting there
Transport
The stadium is served directly by the Campi Flegrei and Mostra stations on the Cumana and Line 2 railways, plus the Mostra stop on Metro Line 6, all within a few minutes’ walk. On-street parking around Fuorigrotta is very limited on matchdays, so trains are the easy choice.
The area
It sits in Fuorigrotta, a dense residential and university quarter west of the centre near the Mostra d’Oltremare exhibition park and the Edenlandia funfair. The area buzzes with fans, street food and scarf sellers before kick-off.
