About Reale Arena
The Reale Arena (Anoeta) holds around 39,500 after its 2019 rebuild, with the pitch now much closer to the crowd. The stands are the Tribuna (main), Preferencia, and the Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur behind the goals, with the most vocal Real Sociedad support and ultras in one of the fondos. Best views come from the central Tribuna and Preferencia; away fans sit in a corner. The redevelopment turned a formerly distant, track-ringed ground into a genuinely atmospheric modern arena.
Originally opened in 1993 with an athletics track, Anoeta was transformed in a 2019 redevelopment that removed the track, dropped the pitch and brought steep new lower tiers right up to the touchlines, dramatically improving sightlines and atmosphere. Now sponsored as the Reale Arena, it is a modern, largely covered bowl at the heart of a wider sports complex.

Transport
Euskotren (the Topo) and local buses serve the Anoeta complex, with the station a short walk from the ground; it sits just south of San Sebastián's centre. Parking around the sports complex is limited on match days, so public transport or walking from the city is easiest.
