About Cívitas Metropolitano
The Cívitas Metropolitano holds around 70,460 and is arranged as a single steep, roofed bowl with three main tiers. The four sides are known as Tribuna (west main stand), Preferencia (east), Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur — the Fondo Sur behind the south goal is home to the Frente Atlético ultras and is the loudest section. Best all-round views are from the central Tribuna and Preferencia mid-tier; away fans are placed high in a corner between Fondo Norte and Preferencia. The venue also hosts major concerts and staged the 2019 UEFA Champions League final.
A modern bowl built out from the old La Peineta athletics stand, wrapped in an undulating white ETFE-and-steel roof that covers every seat and lights up in club colours at night. The steep, continuous tiers sit close to the pitch and generate a genuinely intimidating wall of noise, which is why UEFA chose it for the 2019 Champions League final.

How the venue is set up
La Liga / domestic football
Full bowl in use with the Frente Atlético massed in the lower Fondo Sur. Segovia's steep rake keeps sightlines strong even in the third tier.
European nights (Champions/Europa League)
Same layout with a designated away allocation high in a corner. Extra hospitality and media zones open in the west Tribuna for UEFA fixtures.
Concerts / other events
Hosts stadium concerts with an end-stage; the pitch becomes standing floor and seats behind or beside the stage are sold as restricted or removed.

Pros: Closest to the action and the ultras' atmosphere in Fondo Sur.

Front rows of the lower corners: Shallow angle and pitch-level view means the far side of the field is partly hidden.
Top back rows of Fondo Norte / Fondo Sur: Long distance behind the goal makes play at the far end hard to follow.

Accessibility & companion seating
The stadium was purpose-built with step-free access and offers wheelchair spaces with companion seating spread around the bowl, plus accessible parking, lifts and adapted toilets. Accessible tickets are arranged directly through Atlético Madrid's dedicated fan services rather than the general sale.
Where: Designated wheelchair platforms sit at the front of several sections across all four stands, including lower Tribuna and Preferencia.

Getting there
Transport
Metro Line 7 (red) runs straight to Estadio Metropolitano station, right beside the ground, roughly a 5-minute walk to the gates; Las Musas is an alternative stop. It sits by the A-2 and M-40 in eastern Madrid with large but heavily congested match-day car parks, so public transport is strongly recommended.
The area
The stadium stands in the San Blas-Canillejas district on Madrid's eastern edge, a mostly residential and light-industrial area rather than a tourist centre. There is little in the way of bars right at the ground, so most fans eat and drink in the city and travel out by metro.
