About Tüpraş Stadyumu

Beşiktaş Park is a compact, ferociously loud arena where the crowd is almost on top of the pitch. The two long sides are the West (Batı) main stand — home to the VIP and 1903 hospitality and the best central sightlines — and the East (Doğu), the covered side that carries on the old 'Kapalı' tradition and is the best-value seat alongside the pitch. Behind the goals are the North (Kuzey / Yeni Açık) and South (Güney / Eski Açık, nearest the Bosphorus) ends, where the Çarşı-led hardcore support and the fiercest noise live; the North end is the one most often singled out as the loudest. Category 1 covers the lower West/East, Category 2 the upper West/East and Category 3 the ends, so budget fans behind the goals get the atmosphere for the lowest price. Away fans are boxed into an upper-tier corner. For European finals the stadium is renamed Beşiktaş Park and split neutrally; for concerts the pitch is floored for standing and a stage goes up at one end.

A tight, black-and-white two-tier bowl built on the footprint of the old İnönü Stadium, wrapped in an elliptical colonnaded shell whose height was capped at around 32 m so it would not overshadow the neighbouring Dolmabahçe Palace on the Bosphorus shore. The 'waveform' stands rise and dip at the corners, the two tiers are steeply raked (23.4° lower, 38.7° upper) and the front row sits just 6.5 m from the touchline, while a lightweight looped-cable PTFE membrane roof traps and reverberates the noise.

How the venue is set up

Süper Lig / domestic football

Standard Beşiktaş home layout: West (Batı) and East (Doğu) sides run the length of the pitch, North (Kuzey) and South (Güney) behind the goals. Home support fills all four stands with the vocal core behind the goals; away fans get a segregated upper corner.

UEFA competitions / European finals (Beşiktaş Park)

For neutral finals the venue is branded Beşiktaş Park (it hosts the 2026 Europa League final) and tickets are split evenly between the two finalists across the ends and one side, with UEFA hospitality in the West main stand.

Turkey national team

Used for selected Turkey internationals; the ends behind the goals become the main singing sections and the West main stand holds the reserved and hospitality seats.

Concerts (stadium shows)

The pitch is boarded over for a standing floor with a stage erected at the South (or North) end; seated bowl remains, and sightlines behind and beside the stage are blocked or side-on.

Cons: End-on view flattens play at the far goal; upper corners are a long way from the far end; standing/singing throughout so not for a relaxed watch.

The behind-goal end nearest the Bosphorus and Dolmabahçe, descended from the old 'Eski Açık'. Packs fervent home support, with the away allocation walled off in one upper corner.

Upper-tier corners of the North and South ends (400-series corner blocks): Furthest point from the far goal and a steep oblique angle across the pitch, with the near corner flag partly out of sight.

Front rows of the lower tier behind either goal: Very low, flat angle — play at the far end is screened by players and the goal frame, so you rely on the big screen for the far box.

Segregated away corner (South/upper): Restricted, angled view of the near corner and stewarded separation from the home ends.

The stadium sits on the water at Dolmabahçe between Kabataş and Beşiktaş. Easiest is the T1 tram to Kabataş, then a short walk up the hill, or the M2 metro / F1 funicular to Taksim followed by a steep 15-minute downhill walk along İnönü Caddesi past the Marmara Hotel. Ferries and buses serve Kabataş and Beşiktaş piers from both the European and Anatolian shores. A Passolig fan card is required to buy Süper Lig tickets; there is almost no matchday parking.

The area

Right on the European waterfront in the Dolmabahçe/Beşiktaş district, one of Istanbul's liveliest quarters. Dolmabahçe Palace and its clock tower are next door, the Naval Museum, Beşiktaş fish market, waterfront cafés and the ferry piers are a few minutes away, and Taksim's nightlife is a walk up the hill.
