Cisco Live US 2027 lands at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from 6-10 June, gathering roughly 28,000 network engineers, security architects, DevNet developers, IT managers and Cisco partners for the company's flagship annual event. The week blends deep technical education - hundreds of breakout sessions, hands-on labs, on-site certification testing and the famous CCIE community gatherings - with the World of Solutions expo and a closing-night Celebration. Because Mandalay Bay anchors the far south end of the Strip, the attached hotels (Mandalay Bay, Delano, Luxor) are the only ones offering an air-conditioned indoor commute in Las Vegas's June heat, and they sell out to Cisco's own blocks and partners long before the event. This page holds live bookable rates for hotels ordered by real distance to the venue so you can act before that happens.

How do you get to Cisco Live US?
From LAS (Harry Reid International Airport)
- Mandalay Bay is the nearest big resort to the airport - around 2.5 miles and often under 10 minutes by car
- Taxi flat fares to south Strip resorts sit at the low end of the US$21-29 zoned range
- Ride-hail collects from the Terminal 1 garage (level 2) and Terminal 3; the short trip keeps fares low even with mild surge
- The airport connection is so short that arriving mid-morning and walking into a 1pm session is entirely realistic
Driving and regional arrivals
- I-15 brings Southern California attendees in about 4-5 hours from Los Angeles; June Sunday-evening traffic into Vegas is heavy
- Resort parking is no longer free - plan for roughly US$15-30 per day at south Strip properties
- LAS has dense domestic connectivity, so one-stop routings through Denver, Phoenix, Dallas or Salt Lake City cover almost every US origin
- Departure Friday after the event closes is the airport's crunch point - book afternoon flights or expect long security lines
How do you get around during Cisco Live US?
Getting to Mandalay Bay Convention Center daily
- The free Mandalay Bay Tram (Excalibur-Luxor-Mandalay Bay) is the workhorse commute for anyone staying on the south Strip but outside the attached hotels
- Guests at Mandalay Bay, Delano and Luxor never step outside - decisive in June, when afternoon temperatures routinely exceed 38°C
- The monorail terminates at MGM Grand, a 20-plus minute walk from Mandalay Bay, so it only helps attendees staying further north
- Ride-hail and taxi queues at Mandalay Bay's designated pickup area move slowly right after keynotes - the tram plus a short walk usually wins
Around Las Vegas
- The RTC Deuce runs the Strip 24/7; passes are a few dollars via the rideRTC app and beat ride-hail for simple Strip hops
- Treat outdoor walking as a morning-and-evening activity in June - midday heat on the Strip is punishing, so use the interconnected casino corridors
- Every resort has a taxi rank; taxis avoid surge pricing when 28,000 people leave the Celebration at once
- Allow generous time for cross-Strip dinners - a '10-minute' resort-to-resort trip is often 30 with traffic and walking through casinos
Do you need a visa for Cisco Live US?
Visa-free / visa on arrival
- Nationals of the 40-plus Visa Waiver Program states - including the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Australia and Singapore - attend on an ESTA for business trips under 90 days
- ESTA (about US$40, two-year validity) is applied for online and should be sorted the week you register
- Canadian citizens present a passport and need neither ESTA nor visa; the US does not issue any visas on arrival
eVisa / visa required
- Engineers travelling from India, China, Brazil, Vietnam, the Philippines and most non-VWP countries need a B-1 business visitor visa via a consular interview
- Appointment backlogs at high-volume consulates - notably in India - can stretch to months, so start as soon as attendance is approved
- Expect the US$250 visa integrity fee on most newly issued nonimmigrant visas; Chinese B1/B2 holders also need valid EVUS enrolment
Documents to carry
- Passport with visa or ESTA printout and your Cisco Live registration confirmation
- Proof of accommodation and a return ticket for the CBP inspection
- An employer letter covering the trip's purpose and funding strengthens any B-1 interview
US visa rules and fees are moving targets - confirm the current position with an embassy or the official State Department and CBP sites before booking.
First time at Cisco Live US?
- Arrive Sunday: badge pickup and early sessions start the schedule gently, and Monday-morning registration queues are substantial
- Reserve breakout seats in the Cisco Live app the moment scheduling opens - certification-adjacent and security sessions fill first
- Book on-site certification exams early if you plan to test; slots at the testing centre are finite and prized
- Mandalay Bay's convention centre is huge and multi-level - build 10-15 minute transitions between sessions into your calendar
- The attached hotels vanish first; if you miss them, prioritise anything on the free tram line (Luxor, Excalibur) over a nominally closer but unconnected property
Insider tips from repeat attendees
- The World of Solutions is calmest during the big keynotes and on the final day - the best windows for real conversations with Cisco engineers at the demo stations
- The social capital of the week lives in the CCIE lounge, DevNet zone and evening partner events, not the general sessions - repeat attendees plan around them
- Skip the convention-hall lunch rush by eating at 11:30 or heading to Mandalay Bay's casino-level quick-service spots ten minutes before the session break
- Leave the Celebration a couple of songs before the end or linger 30 minutes after - the middle of the exit wave is where the transport pain lives

When is Cisco Live US 2027?
Cisco Live US takes place 6 June to 10 June 2027 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA.
Where is Cisco Live US held?
Cisco Live US is held at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, USA. The nearest airport is LAS.
Where should I stay for Cisco Live US?
Mandalay Bay, Delano or Luxor if at all possible - they connect indoors to the convention centre, which matters enormously in June heat. Excalibur and the MGM Grand corner are the next tier, linked by free tram or a manageable walk.
How much do hotels cost during Cisco Live?
South Strip rates roughly double against ordinary June midweeks, with the tram-connected properties climbing hardest. Vegas pricing rewards early bookers and punishes procrastinators - there are no late deals in a sold-out corridor.
How early should I book hotels for Cisco Live?
As soon as registration opens, and no later than three months out for the connected hotels. Free-cancellation rates mean an early booking costs nothing to walk away from.
Which airport do I fly into for Cisco Live US?
Harry Reid International (LAS). It is exceptionally convenient - Mandalay Bay is the closest major resort to the terminal, roughly 10 minutes by taxi.
What should I pack for Cisco Live in Las Vegas in June?
Light clothing for 38°C-plus outdoors and a layer for aggressively air-conditioned session rooms, plus the most comfortable shoes you own. Refillable water bottle strongly advised - the convention centre distances plus desert heat dehydrate people fast.
