Organised by Cosmetic Valley, the French fragrance and cosmetics cluster, it is held every October, and every exhibitor presents one innovation on its stand, from raw materials and formulation to packaging, testing and retail. The 2026 edition counted more than 260 exhibitors, including 38 start-ups, and more than 5,700 visitors from 76 countries, according to the organiser. The halls are under the Louvre, served by Metro lines 1 and 7 at Palais Royal Musée du Louvre, so hotels in the 1st arrondissement, around Opéra, in the Marais and across the river in Saint-Germain all keep the fair close. How do you get to Cosmetic 360?

From Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG)

  • The RER B is the simplest link from CDG to Paris, about 35 minutes to Gare du Nord and Châtelet, according to Paris Aéroport; from Châtelet, Metro line 1 runs to Palais Royal Musée du Louvre
  • Official taxis charged a flat fare of €56 from CDG to the Right Bank in 2026, where the Carrousel du Louvre is, set by the Paris Police Prefecture
  • Paris Aéroport puts the taxi drive from CDG to central Paris at 35 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic
  • Take taxis only from the official ranks outside the terminals, and ask to be dropped at Place André Malraux, as the organiser suggests

From Paris Orly (ORY) or by train

  • Metro line 14 runs from Orly to central Paris; Paris Aéroport times the ride at about 23 minutes to Gare de Lyon and 25 minutes to Châtelet, where you can change to line 1
  • Official taxis from Orly charged a flat €45 to the Right Bank in 2026
  • The organiser points rail travellers to Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est, Gare Saint-Lazare and Gare de Lyon, all well linked to the Louvre by Metro
  • Rue de Rivoli is now closed to cars, the organiser notes, so drivers use the underground Parc Carrousel Louvre car park, reached from avenue du Général Lemonnier and open 7:00 to 23:00

How do you get around during Cosmetic 360?

Getting to the Carrousel du Louvre

  • Metro lines 1 and 7 stop at Palais Royal Musée du Louvre; use the Carrousel du Louvre exit, the organiser advises
  • Buses 21, 27, 39, 48, 67, 68, 69, 72, 81 and 95 stop at Palais Royal Musée du Louvre, Palais Royal Comédie Française or Musée du Louvre
  • There are three ways in on foot: 99 rue de Rivoli, the Musée du Louvre exit by the Inverted Pyramid, and two entrances from the Jardin des Tuileries beside the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel
  • The nearest Vélib' stations the organiser lists are on place André Malraux, rue Saint-Honoré and rue de l'Échelle, and the Batobus stops at Louvre on quai François Mitterrand

Where to stay for Cosmetic 360

  • The 1st arrondissement around the Louvre, the Palais Royal and rue Saint-Honoré is closest to the fair
  • Opéra and the Grands Boulevards have a wide choice of business hotels a short Metro ride north, with line 7 running to Palais Royal Musée du Louvre
  • The Marais is on Metro line 1, which also stops at Palais Royal Musée du Louvre, and suits a longer stay with evenings out
  • Saint-Germain-des-Prés is across the Seine on the Left Bank, a quieter base for those who prefer it; check each hotel's position on the map before you book

Do you need a visa for Cosmetic 360?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • France is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
  • Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
  • Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
  • ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through France's consulates or their appointed visa centres
  • Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
  • If you need an invitation letter for a visa, ask the exhibitor you are meeting or the Cosmetic 360 organisers well before your consulate appointment

Documents to carry

  • A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area
  • Your Cosmetic 360 visitor badge or registration confirmation once the organiser issues it
  • Hotel booking and return travel details, plus copies of your visa supporting documents and travel medical insurance if you need a visa

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements with the French embassy or consulate, or official EU sources, before you book.

First time at Cosmetic 360?

  • Cosmetic 360 is a two day trade show for the fragrance and cosmetics industry; visitors get a badge through the organiser's I get my badge registration, which was closed after the 2026 edition when we checked, so watch the site or newsletter for 2027 registration
  • Each stand presents one innovation, marked by a lit totem at the edge of the stand, and the organiser publishes visit routes by theme (raw materials, formulation, testing and analysis, packaging, brands and retail, industry and process) to help you plan
  • The organiser had not published 2027 opening hours when we checked, so confirm them before you book early meetings or a late flight
  • The fair is on one level with aisles wide enough for wheelchairs, according to the organiser, with lifts near the Inverted Pyramid and a quiet rest room on request
  • Cosmetic Valley ran a Cosmetic 360 Week around the 2026 show, with tours, a gala evening and a Paris retail tour; check whether a 2027 programme is announced before you fix your nights

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • Arriving by car is harder than it used to be: rue de Rivoli is closed to cars, so the organiser suggests public transport, its carpooling platform or a taxi drop at Place André Malraux
  • The Louvre itself shares the Carrousel entrances, so allow extra time in the morning when museum visitors are also arriving
  • The organiser's site links to its own hotel booking platform; we are independent and not affiliated with Cosmetic 360 or Cosmetic Valley, and you book a named hotel directly with us at the rate shown
