JEC World, the leading international trade show for composite materials, their technologies and their applications, runs from Tuesday 2 to Thursday 4 March 2027 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, northeast of Paris near Charles de Gaulle Airport. Held in Paris every year for more than 60 years, it brings together the whole composites value chain, with buyers from aerospace, automotive, marine, rail, construction, energy and sport. The organiser counted over 45,000 visits, 1,400 exhibitors and 94 countries in 2026, and expects 46,000 visits in 2027. JEC World is a professional show and children under 16 are not admitted. How do you get to JEC World?
From Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG)
- The organiser lists free Villepinte Express shuttles from CDG terminals 1, 2B and 2F to the exhibition centre on all three show days, nonstop, every 30 minutes from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm
- The RER B towards Paris stops at Parc des Expositions, the venue's own station, according to the organiser
- The organiser estimates a taxi from CDG at about 10 minutes and around €25 to €30, depending on traffic
- Paris Aéroport puts the RER B between CDG and central Paris at around 35 minutes, and a taxi between CDG and Paris has a flat fare of €56 to the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank
From Orly and the Paris train stations
- From Orly, the organiser's route is Metro line 14 to Châtelet, then the RER B towards Aéroport Charles de Gaulle to Parc des Expositions
- From Gare du Nord, the RER B towards Aéroport Charles de Gaulle reaches Parc des Expositions, with trains about every 8 minutes according to the organiser
- From Gare de l'Est or Gare Montparnasse, the organiser suggests Metro line 4 to Gare du Nord; from Gare de Lyon, the RER D to Gare du Nord; then the RER B north
- Driving? The organiser points you to the A1 or A3 and then the A104, with separate exits for visitor and exhibitor car parks; you pay as you leave
How do you get around during JEC World?
Getting to JEC World each day
- Free JEC shuttle lines run on all three days from main hotels near the exhibition centre (5 lines), from hotels in the CDG area (1 line) and from Opéra (rue Gluck) and Porte Maillot (boulevard d'Aurelle de Paladines) in central Paris
- The taxi rank for drop off and pick up is in the main gallery between Halls 4 and 5, on level minus 1, according to the organiser
- The organiser estimates a taxi from central Paris at about 50 minutes and around €50 to €70, depending on traffic
- Private drivers can meet you at 82 avenue des Nations, on the far side of the RER station through the tunnel under the tracks, which the organiser says is quicker for pick up

- Hotels near the exhibition centre give the shortest days, and the organiser runs five direct shuttle lines from them
- The Roissy CDG hotel zone suits short trips, with a free shuttle line and the airport terminals close by

Do you need a visa for JEC World?
Visa-free / visa on arrival
- France is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
- Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
- Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
- ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly
eVisa / visa required
- Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through France's consulates or their appointed visa centres
- Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
- JEC World's FAQ says you can create a visa letter in your personal area on the registration site, once you have ordered your visitor badge

- Register early: for 2026 the visitor badge was free until mid January, then €85 including tax online and €110 on site, according to the organiser's FAQ; check the 2027 rates when you register
- Children under 16 are not allowed, as the show includes industrial machinery in live use, and students can attend free of charge
- Cloakrooms with luggage deposit are at the main entrances in Halls 5 and 6; the organiser's FAQ lists €4 per item or bag and €5 per piece of luggage
