WNE, the World Nuclear Exhibition, which the organiser RX France calls the world's leading civil nuclear exhibition, returns to Paris Nord Villepinte from 7 to 9 December 2027. It is held every two years in Paris and covers the whole civil nuclear value chain, from mining, enrichment and fuel to large reactors, small modular reactors, fusion, maintenance, waste management and decommissioning, plus uses beyond electricity such as nuclear medicine, heat and hydrogen. The 2025 edition counted more than 36,000 participants, more than 1,070 exhibitors (45% international), 24 national pavilions, 9,000 business meetings and 140 conferences. Entry is strictly for professionals working for or in the civil nuclear industry, with an identity card checked at the door. Villepinte sits beside RER B, two stops from Charles de Gaulle airport, so WNE hotels range from Paris Nord 2 and the Roissy CDG area near the halls to Le Bourget and central Paris around Gare du Nord, a longer ride but better for evening dinners. This page shows live rates for your dates; your WNE badge comes from the organiser and is separate from your hotel booking.

How do you get to WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition)?

From the Paris airports

  • From Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), the organiser says the trip takes about 10 minutes on RER B towards Robinson or Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, alighting at Parc des Expositions
  • The organiser says the RER B stops right at the entrance of the venue, so most visitors flying in long haul can reach the halls without a taxi
  • From Orly, the organiser allows about 1 hour 45 minutes, either by Air France bus 3 to Charles de Gaulle and then RER B, or by Orlyval to Antony and then RER B towards Aéroport Charles de Gaulle
  • From Beauvais airport, the organiser suggests the official shuttle to Porte Maillot, Metro line 1 to Châtelet and then RER B, about 2 hours in all

From central Paris and by car

  • From Châtelet, Saint-Michel, Gare du Nord or Denfert-Rochereau, take RER B towards Aéroport Charles de Gaulle and get off at Parc des Expositions; RER A, C, D and E connect with line B in the city
  • Eurostar and other trains arriving at Gare du Nord put you straight onto RER B for the show
  • By car from Paris, the organiser's route is the A1 or A3, then the A104 towards Soissons, following the signs for Parc des Expositions
  • The organiser warns that there are limited car parks nearby and suggests car sharing, so public transport is the safer choice on show days

How do you get around during WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition)?

At Paris Nord Villepinte

  • The organiser's FAQ lists Halls 5A and 6 for WNE 2027, while its practical information page gives Hall 6, so check your badge and the floor plan before you arrive
  • Any luggage larger than a backpack, or with wheels, must go to the luggage storage, at 4 euros an item; coats, helmets and umbrellas are 3 euros an item, according to the organiser
  • Several catering options are available inside the show hall, and water stations are provided, so bring a reusable bottle
  • Counters adapted for people with reduced mobility are at the entrance of the event, according to the organiser

Where to stay for WNE

  • Paris Nord 2 and Villepinte put you closest to the halls, which helps for early stand set up and long show days
  • The Roissy CDG area is two RER B stops from Parc des Expositions and suits visitors on early or late flights
  • Le Bourget sits between the venue and the city, a middle option for teams splitting their time between the show and Paris
  • Central Paris around Gare du Nord or Châtelet gives you more restaurants for client dinners, with a direct RER B ride to the show each morning

Do you need a visa for WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition)?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • France is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
  • Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
  • Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
  • ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through France's consulates or their appointed visa centres
  • Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
  • The organiser says the visa letter can be downloaded from your registration confirmation email, so register early and keep that email for your application

Documents to carry

  • A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area
  • Your printed WNE badge, which the organiser says is personal, non transferable and must be printed, plus the identity card or passport checked at the entrance
  • Hotel booking and return travel details, plus copies of your visa supporting documents and travel medical insurance if you need a visa

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements with the French embassy or consulate, France-Visas, or official EU sources before you book.

First time at WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition)?

  • WNE is strictly reserved for professionals working for or in the civil nuclear industry, and an identity card is required at the entrance
  • Visitor registration for 2027 had not opened when we checked; the organiser says registration will be online, and the badge arrives two weeks before the show opens
  • Print your badge before you travel: the organiser says printing is mandatory and doing it in advance avoids the on site printing queue
  • Opening hours for 2027 were marked 'Information to follow' when we checked, so confirm them before you plan your first morning
  • Conferences are free with your badge and need no pre-registration; in 2025 there were 140 conferences and 334 speakers across four conference areas

  • The organiser's FAQ names the dates as Monday 7 to Wednesday 9 December, but 7 December 2027 is a Tuesday, so check the final schedule before you book flights
