Rematec Amsterdam, which its organiser calls the world's leading trade show for remanufacturing, returns to RAI Amsterdam from Tuesday 13 to Thursday 15 April 2027. It is the meeting point for the automotive remanufacturing supply chain: remanufacturers, OEMs, independent aftermarket suppliers, wholesalers and distributors, core brokers and specialist engine and transmission workshops, looking at engines, transmissions, electronics and ECUs, turbos, starters and alternators, cleaning and testing equipment, and battery and EV remanufacturing. The organiser promises more than 175 exhibitors and invites you to join more than 4,000 reman professionals from over 80 countries, alongside the RMTC Congress on long term trends, the Rematec Theatre and the Remanufacturer of the Year awards. The show has run in Amsterdam in 2023 and 2025, so 2027 continues a two year rhythm. Rematec is for trade visitors only, aged 16 and over, and entry is through Entrance F. For Rematec hotels the main choice is between Zuidas and the streets around the RAI, De Pijp, and the city centre on metro 52, which stops at Europaplein in front of the RAI. This page shows live hotel rates near RAI Amsterdam for your dates. Your Rematec registration is separate from your hotel booking.

How do you get to Rematec Amsterdam?

From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS)

  • The organiser puts RAI Amsterdam 15 minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and the RAI has its own train station
  • Amsterdam RAI station is a couple of minutes' walk from the RAI building, with regular connections to Schiphol, Rotterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and the international rail network
  • If you are staying in the city centre, take the train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Centraal, then metro 52 towards Zuid to Europaplein, right in front of the RAI
  • On trains, metros, trams and buses you can simply check in and out with your debit or credit card or phone, as the organiser notes

By train or car from elsewhere

  • From Amsterdam Amstel, take metro 51 to Amsterdam RAI station, or bus 65 to Scheldeplein; from Amsterdam Sloterdijk, take metro 50 towards Gein
  • From Amsterdam Zuid/WTC, metro 52 towards Noord stops at Europaplein, and from Amsterdam Duivendrecht a train towards Schiphol stops at Amsterdam RAI
  • By car, the RAI sits just off the A10 ring motorway at exit 9 and has its own underground car park; the GPS address is Europaplein, 1078 GZ Amsterdam
  • From 1 January 2026 the RAI lists parking at 6 euros an hour with a 36 euro daily maximum, or 30 euros a day if you buy online

How do you get around during Rematec Amsterdam?

Getting to the RAI each day

  • Metro 52 and tram 4 stop right in front of the RAI at Europaplein and run into the heart of Amsterdam, the organiser says
  • Bus 62 also stops at Europaplein, linking the RAI with Amsterdam Lelylaan and Amstel stations
  • Metro lines 50 and 51 and trains stop at Amsterdam RAI station, a couple of minutes on foot from the building
  • Rematec uses Entrance F, so follow the signs to that entrance whichever stop you arrive at

Choosing where to stay

  • Hotels in Zuidas and around the RAI keep you closest to Entrance F, which helps on the shorter final day, when the show closes at 15:00
  • De Pijp and the city centre give more choice for evenings, with metro 52 or tram 4 to Europaplein each morning
  • The organiser suggests the 9292 door to door journey planner, which is useful for comparing hotels outside the centre
  • If you fly out on the last afternoon, a hotel near Schiphol or Amsterdam RAI station keeps the airport run short

Do you need a visa for Rematec Amsterdam?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • The Netherlands is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
  • Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
  • Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control at Schiphol
  • ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for at the Dutch mission (embassy or consulate) in the country where you live
  • The organiser warns that a visa application may take up to 6 weeks, so arrange it as soon as possible
  • RAI Amsterdam can supply a visa invitation letter: register as a visitor first, then follow the link in your confirmation; requests need a company email address (free email accounts are not accepted), and applicants from countries listed as jurisdictions under increased monitoring are not eligible

Documents to carry

  • A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area
  • Your Rematec registration confirmation and visitor badge, on your phone or printed, and photo ID
  • Hotel booking and return travel details, plus your RAI invitation letter, visa supporting documents and travel medical insurance if you need a visa

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements with the Dutch embassy or consulate, or official EU sources, before you book.

First time at Rematec Amsterdam?

  • Opening hours are 10:00 to 17:00 on Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 April, and 10:00 to 15:00 on Thursday 15 April
  • Rematec is open to trade visitors only, and the minimum age is 16, with no exceptions for accompanied minors
  • Registration rises in price as the show approaches: the organiser lists 59 euros until 1 March 2027, 79 euros from 2 March to 12 April and 99 euros during the show, while an exhibitor invitation code or link gives free registration at any time
  • Each person must register individually, payment is by debit or credit card only, and purchased tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged
  • April in Amsterdam can be cool and showery, so bring a light waterproof layer for the walk between the metro and the RAI

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • Ask the exhibitors you plan to meet for an invitation code before you register: it makes your visitor pass free, whereas the full rate applies during the show
  • The RMTC Congress runs as a separate high level programme over the three days, on design, digitalisation and data, business models, and robotics and automation; look at its programme before you fix your nights
  • Exhibitors should note that the organiser names RAI Hotel Services as its sole official accommodation partner and warns against third parties who contact exhibitors; Event Escapes is independent and does not contact exhibitors on the show's behalf
