How do you get to Rétromobile?

From Paris Orly (ORY)

  • Orly is the airport on the south side of Paris, the same side of the city as Porte de Versailles
  • Metro line 14 runs from the Aéroport d'Orly station, near Terminal 3, to central Paris; Paris Aéroport times the ride at about 23 minutes to Gare de Lyon and 25 minutes to Châtelet, every 2 to 5 minutes
  • Line 14 needs the Ticket Paris Région <> Aéroports (€14 single, on a Navigo Easy pass) or a Navigo pass for all zones, according to Paris Aéroport
  • Official taxis charge a flat fare set by the Paris Police Prefecture: €36 to the Left Bank, where Porte de Versailles is, and €45 to the Right Bank; Paris Aéroport puts the drive to central Paris at 25 to 45 minutes

From Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) or by road

  • From CDG, the RER B is the simplest link to Paris, about 35 minutes to Gare du Nord and Châtelet, according to Paris Aéroport; continue by Metro to Porte de Versailles
  • A taxi from CDG has a flat fare of €65 to the Left Bank, and Paris Aéroport puts the drive to central Paris at 35 to 60 minutes
  • Driving in? The organiser says to leave the ring road at Porte de Versailles; the exhibition car parks are at gate C (P6) and gate F (P7)
  • Arriving in a vehicle more than 30 years old? The organiser offers free parking for one day: photograph the car, keep your parking ticket and registration document, and collect an exit pass at the official Rétromobile shop in Pavilion 4

How do you get around during Rétromobile?

Getting to Rétromobile each day

  • Metro line 12 stops at Porte de Versailles; the organiser says to use exit 2 for hall 7
  • Metro line 8 stops at Balard, and trams T2 and T3a stop at Porte de Versailles Parc des Expositions, according to the organiser
  • Buses 39 and 80 stop at Porte de Versailles
  • Taxi ranks are on boulevard Lefebvre and boulevard Victor, beside the exhibition park, according to the organiser

Where to stay around Porte de Versailles

  • The 15th arrondissement around Porte de Versailles keeps you closest to the halls, and the venue operator Viparis lists several hotels inside the exhibition park itself
  • Montparnasse and the Eiffel Tower area give you more restaurants for evenings after the show; check each hotel's nearest Metro line on the map before you book
  • Issy-les-Moulineaux, just over the city boundary, can suit dealers and exhibitors staying for build up and the full five days
  • Pack a warm coat for February: there are security checks and queues at the entrances, and the cloakroom charges per item

Do you need a visa for Rétromobile?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • France is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
  • Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
  • Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
  • ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through France's consulates or their appointed visa centres
  • Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
  • A Rétromobile ticket is not a letter of invitation; exhibitors who need one for a visa application should ask the organiser well before they apply

Documents to carry

  • A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area
  • Your show ticket, which the organiser says is checked at the entrance and will not be reissued; a ticket on your phone is accepted
  • Hotel booking and return travel details, plus copies of your visa supporting documents and travel medical insurance if you need a visa

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements with the French embassy or consulate, or official EU sources, before you book.

  • A ticket is valid for one day only and leaving the show is final, so buy a ticket for each day you plan to visit; the organiser lists €23 online during the show and €25 at the desk, with children under 12 free
  • The organiser says most visitors allow 4 to 8 hours, and that weekdays are usually more comfortable than the weekend
  • Expect security checks at every entrance: the organiser says coats and bags are opened, and there is a paid cloakroom that also takes bags and suitcases on your departure day
  • The 2026 edition drew record crowds that the organiser says affected access, so arrive early and have your ticket ready on your phone

  • The preview evening on Tuesday 2 February runs from 18:00 to 23:00 at €120, according to the organiser; if you go, add the Tuesday night to your hotel search
