Sea Asia, the maritime exhibition launched in 2007 by Seatrade and the Singapore Maritime Foundation, returns to Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 13 to 15 April 2027. It is held every two years, and for 2027 it runs alongside OSEA, the offshore energy exhibition, as part of Singapore Maritime Week (12 to 16 April 2027), with one visitor registration covering both exhibitions. The organiser says the previous edition, in 2025, welcomed over 20,000 participants, and the 2027 show is set to spread across two levels of the venue, with zones for advanced technology and decarbonisation and the Maritime SG Showcase from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention sits above Bayfront MRT station, so Marina Bay hotels put you a few minutes from the halls, while the Downtown Core, Bugis and City Hall are a short train or taxi ride away. Because the whole maritime week runs from Monday to Friday, many visitors need more than three nights. This page shows live Singapore hotel rates for the show dates, which you can change. Your Sea Asia registration is separate from your hotel booking, and Event Escapes is independent of the organiser.

How do you get to Sea Asia?

From Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)

  • Changi Airport says a taxi to the city takes about 30 minutes and costs between S$25 and S$45 on the meter, plus an airport surcharge of S$6, or S$8 from 5pm to midnight
  • By train, take the line from Changi Airport MRT station (CG2) to Expo station (CG1/DT35) and change to the Downtown Line towards Bukit Panjang, which stops at Bayfront (DT16) for Marina Bay Sands
  • Taxis wait at the stands in the arrival halls of Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4, and Grab, Gojek and other ride hailing apps pick up at the marked points at every terminal
  • Changi Airport notes that trains and buses do not run through the night, while taxis and private hire cars are available 24 hours a day

Arriving at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention

  • Marina Bay Sands is at 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956, at Bayfront MRT station on the Circle and Downtown lines
  • Marina Bay Sands says Exit E of Bayfront station leads to the Expo & Convention centre, and Exits C and D reach it in about three minutes on foot
  • Taxi and car drop-off points include the front of Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention, Sheares Link outside Hotel Tower 1 and Bayfront Avenue outside Hotel Tower 3
  • Bus stop 03511 is outside the Expo & Convention centre, served by routes including 97, 106, 133, 502 and 518

How do you get around during Sea Asia?

Getting to Sea Asia daily

  • Hotels around Marina Bay are linked to the venue by the Garden Bay Bridge and two underpasses that join the convention centre, mall, theatres and hotel towers
  • From the Downtown Core, Bugis or City Hall, the Downtown and Circle lines reach Bayfront in a few stops; Marina Bay Sands says MRT services there run from about 6am to midnight
  • A river ferry stops at Bayfront South Jetty, about five minutes on foot from the Expo & Convention centre, with hourly boats from 10am to 8pm
  • Taxis in Singapore add a peak hour surcharge on weekday mornings and evenings, so the train is often the quicker and cheaper option at opening time

Around Singapore

  • Stored value EZ-Link cards are sold at Changi Airport, including at the TransitLink office at the Changi Airport MRT station
  • Many Singapore Maritime Week partner events and receptions take place across the city during the week, so check where yours are before choosing a hotel area
  • April is hot and humid in Singapore, so sheltered links between buildings around Marina Bay make short walks easier
  • Marina Bay Sands offers badge holders shopping and dining privileges at the resort, according to OSEA's visitor page; terms apply

Do you need a visa for Sea Asia?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • Passport holders from countries and places not on Singapore's visa list can visit without applying for a visa in advance; the list is published by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
  • Every traveller must submit the free SG Arrival Card with electronic health declaration within 3 days before arriving, including the day of arrival; the card is not a visa
  • ICA says your period of stay is set by the electronic visit pass (e-Pass) issued at the checkpoint, not by the validity of any visa

eVisa / visa required

  • ICA lists the countries whose travel documents need a visa, among them India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Russia and Ukraine; check the current list before you book
  • Visas are not issued at the immigration counter: without a local contact who can apply for you, you apply through an authorised visa agent appointed by a Singapore Overseas Mission or at the nearest mission
  • Apply early, as April is a busy month for business travel to Singapore during Singapore Maritime Week

Documents to carry

  • A valid passport issued to you individually; ICA does not accept collective travel documents
  • Your SG Arrival Card submission, plus your visa if your nationality needs one
  • Your Sea Asia visitor registration or exhibitor confirmation, and your hotel booking and return or onward ticket

Singapore's entry rules and visa list change from time to time, so check the current requirements with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) or a Singapore Overseas Mission before you book.

First time at Sea Asia?

  • Sea Asia and OSEA share one visitor registration, which gives access to both exhibitions; it does not cover the Singapore Maritime Week conferences
  • Singapore Maritime Week conferences need a separate delegate registration with fees, and their badges give free access to Sea Asia and OSEA
  • The organiser says registered visitors can attend the conference sessions run by Sea Asia and OSEA inside the exhibition halls without a separate conference registration
  • Sea Asia 2027 spreads across two levels of Marina Bay Sands, so check the floor plan for the level and zone you need before you arrive
  • Visitor registration for 2027 had not opened when we checked, so watch the official Sea Asia website for the link

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • Singapore Maritime Week runs from Monday 12 to Friday 16 April 2027, one day either side of the exhibition, so book from Sunday if you plan to join conferences or partner events
  • Sea Asia is held every two years, so this April 2027 edition is the main maritime show in Singapore until the next one; start planning travel early
  • A hotel on the Downtown Line, around Bugis or the Downtown Core, gives a direct ride to Bayfront without a change
