It brings together operators, developers and service companies across oil and gas, offshore wind, hydrogen, decommissioning, CCUS and digitalisation, and SPE reports that the 2025 edition welcomed more than 25,000 professionals and more than 450 exhibiting companies. P&J Live stands on the TECA site at Bucksburn, next to Aberdeen International Airport and about 6 miles north-west of the city centre, so where you stay shapes your day. How do you get to SPE Offshore Europe?
From Aberdeen International Airport (ABZ)
- P&J Live is 1.5 miles from the airport, which the venue puts at about a 15 minute walk along the paths around the complex
- Official airport taxis wait directly outside the front of the terminal; turn left for the rank
- The Stagecoach 727 Jet bus links the airport with Union Square bus station in the city centre every 15 minutes, with journeys from 30 minutes, and P&J Live says it stops on the TECA site
- The venue says the airport has 22 flights a day from London and more than 40 connections worldwide
By rail and road
- Dyce station is 1.5 miles from P&J Live, about a 15 minute walk according to the venue, and sits on the Aberdeen to Inverness line
- Trains call at Dyce at least once an hour from Monday to Saturday, and Aberdeen station in the city centre is a ten minute train ride away
- Aberdeen station has East Coast Main Line trains to Edinburgh and London King's Cross and sleeper trains to London Euston, according to P&J Live
- By car, the venue is about 6 miles north-west of the city centre off the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road, close to the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route; enter via Dyce Drive, or the A96 if heading south, as other entrances are bus gates only
How do you get around during SPE Offshore Europe?
Getting to P&J Live each day
- The Hilton Aberdeen TECA and the Aloft Aberdeen TECA stand on the P&J Live site, the closest beds to the halls
- Hotels in Dyce and around the airport are close by, but check each hotel's distance on the map: the venue publishes walking times only from the airport and Dyce station
- From the city centre, catch the 727 from Union Square bus station (stance 3), which stops at Bucksburn and on the TECA site, or take the train to Dyce
- The organiser publishes no visitor shuttle, and Stagecoach's PJ1 event bus runs only for specific events, so do not count on it for the show
Parking, taxis and evenings
- The organiser warns that parking is limited and points visitors to the official P&J Live parking booking site; the venue urges visitors to use public transport where they can
- There is a taxi pick-up and drop-off point next to the Hilton on the P&J Live site, with a dedicated taxi rank during major events
- Union Square, next to Aberdeen station, and the wider city centre give you the most choice of restaurants for evening meetings
- P&J Live is cashless, with card and contactless payments only and no cash machines on the TECA site
Do you need a visa for SPE Offshore Europe?
Visa-free / visa on arrival
- British and Irish citizens do not need a visa or an ETA
- Most visitors who do not need a visa, including nationals of European countries, the USA, Canada and Australia, must hold a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before they travel
- An ETA costs £20, lets you visit for up to six months at a time and lasts two years or until your passport expires, whichever is sooner, for as many trips as you like
- You usually get an ETA decision by email within a day, but it can take up to three working days, and you must wait for the confirmation before you travel

- Nationals who are not eligible for an ETA need a Standard Visitor visa to attend SPE Offshore Europe; check your nationality on GOV.UK
