EuroPCR 2027, the world-leading course in interventional cardiovascular medicine, runs from Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 May 2027 at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, 2 Place de la Porte Maillot, on the western edge of central Paris. The 2027 edition marks 50 years of percutaneous cardiovascular interventions, and the organiser, PCR, gives a key figure of 12,100 participants for the course, which brings together interventional cardiologists, surgeons, imagers, nurses and allied professionals. Two one-day meetings come the day before, on Monday 17 May: the PCR Fellows Course and PCR Innovators Day. The Palais des Congrès is served by Metro line 1, RER C and RER E at Porte Maillot, so hotels around Porte Maillot, the Étoile and the Champs-Élysées, Neuilly-sur-Seine and La Défense all keep the daily trip simple. • The Étoile and the Champs-Élysées are a short ride east on Metro line 1, which runs through Porte Maillot

Do you need a visa for EuroPCR?

Visa-free / visa on arrival

  • France is in the Schengen Area; EU, EEA and Swiss citizens travel with a passport or national ID card
  • Citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and many other countries can visit the Schengen Area for business without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180 day period
  • Non EU travellers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System, fully operational since 10 April 2026, with fingerprints and a facial image taken at the border, so allow extra time at passport control
  • ETIAS, the EU's planned travel authorisation for visa-exempt visitors, was not yet in operation when we checked; the EU says it will announce the start date several months ahead, so check before you fly

eVisa / visa required

  • Nationals of countries such as India, China, South Africa and Türkiye need a Schengen short stay (type C) visa, applied for through France's consulates or their appointed visa centres
  • Under EU rules you can apply no earlier than six months and at least 15 days before travel; standard processing takes 15 days and can be extended to 45
  • EuroPCR issues invitation letters for visa applications through its registration platform, and the organiser advises starting early because visa applications can take time

Documents to carry

  • A passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area
  • Your EuroPCR registration confirmation or badge voucher, plus your passport if you registered at the special onsite fee, which the organiser says must be shown
  • Hotel booking and return travel details, plus copies of your visa supporting documents and travel medical insurance if you need a visa

Entry and visa rules change; check current requirements with the French embassy or consulate, or official EU sources, before you book.

First time at EuroPCR?

  • EuroPCR is a course for healthcare professionals and industry, with separate fees for nurses, allied professionals and fellows, physicians, exhibitors and industry representatives; the organiser says the 10 percent VAT is included in the fees shown
  • Fees rise in steps: for 2027 the organiser lists an early rate from 13 October to 10 February, a regular rate to 14 April and a late rate to 16 May, then onsite prices, so register early if you are paying yourself
  • Credit card payment is required for individual registrations and orders of fewer than 15 badges, and the organiser asks every participant to upload a photo for verification
  • Download the PCR App before you travel: the organiser says your badge voucher gives quicker access to the course, and you can build your own programme
  • The organiser says official PCR emails come only from its own domains and warns against third party registration sites, so register through the official platform

Insider tips from repeat attendees

  • If you are joining the PCR Fellows Course or PCR Innovators Day on Monday 17 May, book from Sunday 16 May so you are in Paris for the early start
  • Porte Maillot sits on Metro line 1 and the RER E, so a hotel near Gare du Nord, Saint-Lazare or the Champs-Élysées still gives you a direct ride with no change
  • The organiser runs its own official hotel and travel booking service and recommends booking through it; we are independent and not affiliated with EuroPCR or PCR, and you book a named hotel directly with us at the rate shown
