16 Mar – 18 Mar 2027 Messe Stuttgart 65,700+ attendees
LogiMAT 2027, running 16-18 March at Messe Stuttgart, is Europe's largest annual intralogistics fair: forklifts, warehouse automation, robotics, packaging and warehouse-management software packed into ten halls, drawing around 65,000 trade visitors and well over 1,500 exhibitors. The audience is heavily operational, with logistics directors, warehouse planners and systems integrators from across German-speaking Europe and increasingly worldwide. Messe Stuttgart's location is its quirk: the fairground sits directly beside Stuttgart Airport on the Filder plateau, a 30-minute S-Bahn ride from the city centre. That geography means the small stock of hotels at the Messe/Flughafen cluster is fought over hardest, and city-centre and Möhringen hotels along the S2/S3 and U6 lines absorb the rest of the crowd. Stuttgart is a compact hotel market for a fair this size, so prices firm up early. This page shows live, bookable rates sorted by distance to Messe Stuttgart so you can weigh the airport cluster against town.

The Messe/Flughafen hotel cluster is the top pick, putting the halls within walking distance, but it is small and sells out early. Möhringen is the practical fallback with the U6 direct to the fair, and Stuttgart-Mitte works well too via the 27-minute S2/S3 ride while giving you the city's restaurants in the evening.
Stuttgart's hotel market is modest in size, so LogiMAT pushes rates up sharply, often to double normal midweek levels near the fairground, with the airport cluster commanding the biggest premium. City-centre rates rise more moderately.
Four to six months ahead is the safe window for the airport/Messe cluster; regular exhibitors rebook almost immediately after each edition. Booking early on a free-cancellation rate is the standard play for this fair.
Stuttgart (STR) if you can, since the fairground is next to the terminal. If your routing does not serve STR well, Frankfurt is about 1 hour 20 minutes away by ICE plus the S-Bahn connection, which many intercontinental visitors find easier than a tight connection onto a small STR feeder.
LogiMAT is annual, operationally focused and dense: it covers intralogistics, warehouse automation and software rather than the full transport chain, and its three-day format concentrates decision-makers. Many companies treat it as their primary European intralogistics buying event.
